13 OC was not suggesting it was: it is mostly up to the
gal who Runs Argentina. She should hop on over there while the british
prince is playing helicopter jockey & convince the UK'er the price she is
offering {whatever Argentina money is called) is not only sufficiant to
pay to keep  Falklands  title  but to keep the Northern interests out of
the Southern hemisphere without ASKING. THEY {N} can dry up as fast
as they can. & Maybe take Africa Along ? South America is & of S.A..tbd 1:55

Hey, that was completely logical!

Well, except that Argentina's a couple of peso's short of an empanada at the mo. They were rich before the peso crashed early last decade.

Actually, Argentina are doing pretty good.  The crash was terrible, but they recovered fast.

One of the advantages of a sovereign currency.  And economists willing to think, instead of being priests for orthodoxy.

Fair enough. I don't think they're about to make a cash bid for the Malvinas/Falklands though. I went to Argentina in 1999, a few years before they crashed. I've never seen so much beef. And it was good!

It's about the oil, again.

Sure.  Wouldn't matter if they were, though.  The government that sold the Falklands to the Argentinians wouldn't last a week, and accusations of treason would at least have to be seriously considered.
