The candidates themselves are all fine, the problem is there is all carrot and no stick. I proposed an automated sanctioning system to be placed on the government.

For instance when a politicians pay goes above a certain threshold, the difference is deducted and reinvested to public funds.
When employment drops below a certain level in an area, it's representative is publically flogged by robots.
When the GDP of a country is below a certain level, or infant mortality rate rises above a certain threshold, its leaders get automatically decapitated in a public square.
