Wow, I think it's a trifle early for you to be that dismissive of the deeply entrenched racism in Florida given its history and the massive questions that are raised by the police's failure to arrest Zimmerman, as well as their apparent orchestrated attempt to fabricate evidence to exonerate him. That's the area in which most people are (legitimately) concerned that it is yet another reflection of corruption and racism by the police.

DP, are you serious? Look, dude, it honestly doesn't matter whether or not it was racially motivated shooting. What DOES matter, as everyone has said, is that, it is possible (maybe even probable, though I wouldn't go that far) to speculate that the motives were, in fact, racist. This speculation, however, is far from pointless, and more importantly, one must ask whether the failure of the police to act on this is racially motivated. Regardless of what the media has done, shouldn't we be more concerned about, ya know, what's actually going on with this, rather than how one particularly news source skewed the facts? To focus on that particular issue, is, frankly, STUPID.

That said, he doesn't need to have been racially motivated in the least for what he did to be inexcusable and he should be charged with murder.

Anyone who owns a firearm and has used that firearm to practice target shooting even once has to know the rules. You do not even draw your weapon unless you are prepared to use it to kill something. You do not "aim for the leg" you don't try to "wing the guy." It's center mass, double shot expect death of your assailant. Period.
