Can you explain, Phox? I'm not sure what you're trying to say, first you call him on something Coyote already did and which he immediately corrected as unsustainable and wrong, then you quote said correction and you say it's not quite there, without explaining why? I mean he took back the entire statement because Coyote pointed out something he had not considered. I'm genuinely curious where you want to have him that he's "not quite there" or whether you just meant to post "What Coyote said"?

I think that what Icey was trying to say was that as a single college student with no dependents, it is not "impossible", as my housemate was complaining, to work a part-time job and get by.

You see, she doesn't have a job, and her angle is that it is not possible for a full-time college student to fit a 20-hour workweek in alongside college. Which is patently bullshit because people do it all the damn time.

No shit, right? I was going to day classes full time while working 1-2 PT jobs 20-40 hours/week, then later switched to night classes when I started working full time and still managed to graduate "on time" (within the standard timeline they have for a major). Granted, I don't have kids, but neither does your housemate, and I'm sure a good chunk of the adults in my night classes had kids. No, I didn't always have fun (I fit it in) or eat the best food, whatever, but I certainly managed.

I do agree, everyone does need to vent sometimes, it's only natural, but yea...choosing your audience is pretty key. Like when I hear someone complain about being stressed when they live at home, don't work, don't seem to be actively seeking work and their biggest stressor is apparently "going to the gym", I just want to laugh and laugh and laugh
