Disney is not the worst thing that's happened to this place.
It's actually quite easily ignored (unless you drive by it on I-4)

It's NASA and the military bases we've had here since the dawn of rockets that's caused a lot of horrible pollution and oh by the way, be careful when digging in your yard cause you might find some old buried un-exploded bombs n shit from when they were using the area as a test site.

The water here is great. Fresh crisp FL tap, straight from the aquifer to your *hack cough choke

Ready?
-Smoke n shit on I-75 causes a pile up of more than a dozen cars and 11 people die
-Trayvon Martin gets shot, racial bullshit ensues
-2 teenage boys that went to my son's school are bound, shot and set on fire on the bike trail near my house
-The old lady that owned the food truck near the bar I work at was shot dead in it while being robbed
-Some crazy bitch yanked her clothes off and tried to jump off the 408
-Casey Anthony is still in the news, being sued for defamation or some shit

and that's not even the WEIRD stuff

Tucson says "hello!"

derp from Disney doesn't explain the rest of the derp in the world.

Or does it...The Walt Disney Company is the second largest of the FOUR largest media conglomerates in the worlds. It's a bit scary thinking about how many things it has its sticky fingers in through out the world.

Why not just say "five"?  Because that's all there are.

It recently became the 'four'.

Really?  Because just a few months ago, it went from 6 to 5, with the Disney merger.

I'll get some clarification from my professor Tuesday, but I do remember him saying that it's now four. It happened really recently too, because at the beginning of the quarter we were talking about the five. I don't think the fifth one was gobbled up, but just lost enough market share to no longer be one of the top media conglomerates.

When I get home, I'll post the big 5.  Then you can point out which one went away.

Is that something different than the big six?

I going to go with those stats are looking at just film subsidiaries, I think Dok and I are talking about media conglomerates in general.
This is also reminding me I have a midterm to study for. :horrormirth:

THEY WANT YOU TO ARGUE ABOUT HOW MANY THERE ARE SO YOU WON'T NOTICE WHICH ONE OF THEM IS CRAPPING ON THE BEDSPREAD.

Good point.

It's more important that there are a very small number of conglomerates that produce the overwhelming majority of all media, than exactly how many there are.

SOON IT WILL BE ONE!
