2.  I did lay off him for a while.  Everyone else did, too...For about 8 hours.  Then he spammed the entire board with "I'M SO EVIL, MUHAHA" butthurt shit so much that it became obvious that he WANTS to be excoriated.  We're just giving him what he wants.

I think it's that "negative attention is better than no attention" thing. Same reason he likes to turn every thread he can into a thread about drugs. It makes him feel in some way important or relevant, as evidently he has nothing else he cares to contribute. I should know better than to feed him.
