Anomalies that you notice thread

Today on my commute into work i noticed an advertisement for metropcs on the orange line. That part is pretty normal. What was odd about it was that the picture of the phone had been cut out revealing a map of the subway system underneath it. It was cut out pretty neatly presumably with an exacto knife or box cutter since it was otherwise undamaged. It makes me wonder what someone would want with an oversized picture of a cheap phone.

was it not an intentional aspect of the advertisement to imply the phone's use in map/schedule of the subway?

No. Metropcs is virtually useless on the subway. I can get reception at couple of stations if i stand in the right spot but generally im cut off from anything outside the train car unless its above ground.

or maybe they were making their own 'No Cellphones' sign for their workplace...

there's a brick wall with sign on it at the front of my subdivision which spells out in large individual letters 'Mountain Creek'.
a couple years ago, i saw that it now said ' ounta n Cre  '.
I imagined Mike has his name in giant letters in his room now.

Collage did cross my mind. I am glad however that the advert was improved as it were.

You can tell when things are machine-cut as opposed by hand with an X-acto.

It's still funny that they cut out the perfect outline of the phone instead of chopping out a rectangle and taking it home to trim. I suspect WOMPage and boredome, the kind of boredom that makes people in jail make photo album covers out of woven gum wrappers.
