Testimonial - Well it seems that most of you "discordians" are little more than dupes of the Cathedral/NWO memetic apparatus after all -- "freethinkers" in the sense that you are willing to think slightly outside the designated boxes of correct thought, but not free in the sense that you reject the existence of the boxes and seek their destruction.

Puddles' Pity Party with a cover of Britney Spears that has some Tom Waits energy. But when isn't Puddles great?

Holy Fuck. I needed something to soak up two hours of dead time and I wasn't about to start another serialized video series... This is something amazing. I will bask in it's glory and spread it to my limited circle. Aww Yiss, there are Beat Saber Mods!

I found this a very heart-warming example of platonic male love, and captured in such a unique way - a compilation of otherwise lost moments which are just adorable in context:

Gloom in the Corner. I've posted them before as just nu metalcore, but I was reminded they put out this incredible music video that ends and very briefly summarizes the first arc of the storyline they've been unfolding from their very first album. Amazing worldbuilding, emotionally powerful, and probably one of their best songs. Something like that. Everything from Fear Me to Ultima Pluvia (which is what this song is from) is essential listening if you like nu-core type shit and intense storytelling.

They definitely improve as musicians over time, but once you get invested in the story, it feels almost the opposite. Fear Me is powerfully emotional with multiple songs that manage to drive the plot on both personal and wider-ranging levels while stuffing in loads of mean as fuck pit-filling one-liners, Homecoming comes and goes a little bit too quickly for it to cover its main character and his personal demons and antagonists, Villain completely wastes a brilliant single on a minor bit player in the plot, Flesh & Bones spends too much time on irrelevancies like Bleed You Out and wastes two of its three BRILLIANT plot twists on zero-drama lines dropped at random in already plot-dense songs, and Ultima Pluvia has to introduce two new characters, three factions, open up a whole new realm of worldbuilding, and close the main story arc in 3 ordinary length songs.
"I am that worst of all type of criminal...I cannot bring myself to do what you tell me, because you told me."

There's over 100 of us in this meat-suit. You'd think it runs like a ship, but it's more like a hundred and ten angry ghosts having an old-school QuakeWorld tournament, three people desperately trying to make sure the gamers don't go hungry or soil themselves, and the Facilities manager weeping in the corner as the garbage piles high.

on the subject of comedy and tragedy and the ever wavering line between them - i can't laugh at this, though the audience disagrees, regardless - i think this is probably the finest 12 minutes of Stewart Lee's career:

similarly i admire this commentary on ageism, though it is painfully done:

this one always hit me hard, although i think that if the comic wasn't such a good actor, they would have laughed more:

Unsure. The work is simple, but requires at least 6 bodies to occur. Training is about a week. The average new start lasts around 7 hours. Often less. To say I've been dealing with social dregs would be a huge understatement.

I think the worst week so far has been given 4 sex offenders. Overt hinting that a background check would be done (lie, place cannot afford any kind of basic check) got rid of 3. The fourth had a shitty jeep thing that I promise you had fucking toy story dolls nailed and glued all over it.

"is this your car?"
"yeah, different innit?"
"what's your favourite Michael Jackson album?"
"what?"
"what do you think about rolf Harris's art?"
"I'm not a pedo!"
"I never said anything of the sort. How many kids do you have?"
"none"
"I see. This will probably end poorly if you stay. Only monsters work here, and most are family monsters. And less polite than me."
"I'm not a pedo!"
Gesture at car "this is not a good look for a 35 year old male with a foot long beard who stinks of weed."
"it makes me stand out"
"yes. Yes it does. I assume the police will be grateful."
"I'm not a pedo!"

Spoiler, he was. Arrested for drugs outside a school about a month after I got rid of it.
