From the first time I had a chance to play with a computer music production system:

A bit later, still a computer and me:

UK band, poor quality (4-track tape-deck), folk song, arrangement mostly mine, whiny top harmony line and bass also mine:

Hungarian band, result of an afternoon's stoned improv, single mike onto a reel-to-reel, I'm on bass:

Advertising jingle for a bunch of vitamins. First I sold, recently. I play and sing everything except the fingerpicked guitar:

Not too keen on rigor, myself - reminds me of mortis

And then in that blogpost there is also a mock-up of an advertising jingle.

It's for a laxative. The client didn't like it. For more, see the post.

Not my cup of tea, but not bad.

Probably the one I liked best was the stoned improv thing. I zoned out to it a couple of times, but, if I had to take my pick it would be that. The first too showcase your ability but are a little too jazzy for my liking.

I hated the second one, the first one seemed pretty good for what it is (not my thing at all) but the UK band stuff is pretty good for its genre and production values, and I really liked the stoned improv thing. The jingle was pretty cute, too.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

My latest jingle effort. Was accepted except for the vocals (which I would not call the final version, either...). But I'm not require to sharpen my vocal skills further because they want a female voice. That's going to happen on Thursday. Also, first attempt at travelling with the studio (I mean, laptop and microphone, actually). An ad for a baby-nose-vacuuming thing that is noiseless and unfrightful for bebes, apparently. Seeing as my 2.3-year old now requests the hoover with the nose-cleaning attachment and vacuums her nose all by herself quite competently, I have no problem with this job.

That's the great thing about the internet. Someone, somewhere, someday is going to give a fuck.

So I listend.
It's not bad.
But it not that good.
And by it, I mean all of his music.
It is like listening to someone who trying to remix vidja game music for the first time.

Twid, you give this asshat far too much credit.

Perhaps but i believe that i stated i didnt like it too much either. I was more commenting on  his skill as a musician as itself and not necessarily as a composer. But again his tastes are clerly different than mine so i cant really comment on it beyond that.

Well coming from a guy who listens to vidya game music, and remixes there of, he is shabby.

Fair minded, that. Thanks.

Demo by one of the bands I play in, Dream Ferry. Utterly derivative and simple as a stick. But I like it.

Why are you trying to record inside of a garbage can? :P
Comment is  @ the demo u posted last.
Song is actually pretty decent.. But needs better micing.
But I guess that's what makes it a demo? Never made one personally, jumped straight to the pro stuff :P

The tunes I listened to were pretty allright, although skimping a bit on the prodution side, plus I'd mix most tracks
differently. Especially NOW, since I still havent gotten used to my new monitors lol. Last track I mixed was aaaaall bass and nothing else lol.

Dildo Argentino

Man, that song was recorded in a rehearsal room with a single stereo mic.

The rest of them: mostly pure midi on a cheap soundcard or a single mic in a less than ideal room. This last song though, will get amateur studio treatment in a week or so.

Well we've been to the studio. The setup was something like a 70's TV studio, and apart from the multiple kids shouting in Stop, Teacher, we played everything live. I think it should also be noted that the singer, the lead guitarist and the drummer are 11 years old, and I'm sort of helping out (bass). I also got to play evil teacher.
