So, I'll be down in the area for 3 weeks in July to celebrate my marriage.

In that time I'd like to:
A. See as much of the PNW as I can, with quantity < quality.
B. Meet as many spags as is comfortable in one any one sitting.
C. PARTY N PARTY N PARTY N YEAH!

Couple questions:
1. Is there a decent carless way to get around that area? Bus tickets look pretty cheap. Is that system shit? I'll probably get some kind of rental, but would like to use it as little as possible.
2. Where are good places to camp? (Anyone wanna go camping?)
3. Anybody can/want to put me and Mrs. Alty up for a day or two?
Cuz that would be rad.

I'd like to hit the Seattle area and PDX, but more time in the woods are better.

I have a spare room, which you are welcome to. I'm in Everett, not Seattle, but I'm close to some cool bars and good food and Everett Station, where you can catch a bus to take you around the area or a bus/train to some other place. Also we still have some old-school PNW wierd left here. Seattle has been sanitized to the point that I'd recommend PDX as a better spot for a big city adventure. But one thing I am is well-situated to get to lots of cool outdoors places. And I usually get 3 day weekends so camping is a definite possibility.

Be warned, in most of Pugetopolis bus service is VERY limited on saturdays and barely or non-existent on sundays. PDX has a pretty killer transit system with tons of buses and 4 light rail lines criss-crossing the city.

Some yahoo yelled at me, saying 'GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH', and I thought, "I'm feeling generous today.  Why not BOTH?"

I would be down for some camping in July.

AWYEAH!

I don't doubt that the boy would give up his room for y'alls for a night or two, if you don't mind a basement room that belongs to a 13-year-old boy.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

WHOOO!

I will take you both up on those offers!

I will be in Yakima from 7/11-7/21, then leave on the 31st. From the 21st-31st I am free as a bird to go and do as I please.

I'll let you all know more specific dates as I know them.

I guess I'll just chill wherever I'm at over whatever weekend is like whatever. I definitely want to get out into the woods and walk.

As for Everett VS Seattle, as far as I am concerned the rest of the US consists of Seattle, Portland, Tuscon, and Mexico.

Can't wait, yall!

There's a hiking trail that starts on the Mountain Loop Highway about a half hour or 40 minutes from my apartment and parallels a river for about 4.5 miles until it ends in the ghost town of Monte Cristo, with a camping area nearby. There's a shit-ton of awesome camping spots along or within hiking distance of the mountain loop, and then the Olympic Peninsula is about 90 minutes to 2 hours away by car and ferry, depending on which way you go. That has rainforests and wild ocean beaches.

Condolences on spending 10 days in Yakima.
