News:

All you can say in this site's defence is that it, rather than reality, occupies the warped minds of some of the planet's most twisted people; gods know what they would get up to if it wasn't here.  In these arguably insane times, any lessening or attenuation of madness is maybe something to be thankful for.

"I dispose of obsolete meat machines.  Not because I hate them (I do) and not because they deserve it (they do), but because they are in the way and those older ones don't meet emissions codes.  They emit too much.  You don't like them and I don't like them, so spare me the hysteria."

Wheee good response!

OK, lets start with audio only. Maybe we can fill in some pics over the audio, but if we can focus on the audio initially, I think thats the most likely way to actually get something done :)

Guidelines:

1. Try to sound newsish.
2. Keep each report at one minute or less
3. Lets aim for 3 minutes, if we get a lot of stuff we can stretch up to 5. That way it should grab attention without becoming boring to random listeners.

I suggest we plan for submissions done by Wednesdays at midnight Pacific time. We'll do the editing on Thursdays and Fridays, with a release on Saturday morning.

Now we'll need to figure out how to send to audio files to be edited together... I'll work on that this weekend. Maybe set up a ftp site or use one of the file sharing sites...

I vote dropbox.  That shit is easy, and free.

So, what exactly are we going to be reading?  Should we start a "News Flash!" Thread?

Good idea, maybe a thread to list subjects so we don't have ten submissions on the same topic...
