News:

All you can say in this site's defence is that it, rather than reality, occupies the warped minds of some of the planet's most twisted people; gods know what they would get up to if it wasn't here.  In these arguably insane times, any lessening or attenuation of madness is maybe something to be thankful for.

Well, Nazis don't ever actually die, right?  They just sort of lurk around in the wings

Especially if said wings are in Langley or Cape Canaveral.

Obviously.  It was my great-uncle Bill's opinion, which I share, that the Nazis won WWII.  Thing is, they weren't German Nazis, they were American and British.

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."

Praetorian Guards for the Cold War.

If there hadn't been a Soviet Union, we'd likely have hung a good 95% of the bastards.  Instead, we took the most publically known ones, the stupidest ones, and the rank and file and punished them, and then gave gold-plated, grade A bastards like Klaus Barbie cushy "consulting" jobs in counterinsurgency warfare, assassination and drug trafficking.

And people wonder why the world is a bit fucked up.
