He's still in the ICU but isn't getting worse. That's something. I find it sort of weird and gross that Fox is making jokes about him not getting back to work any time soon but I can't put my finger on why.

Because they're tacky and morbid assholes. Joking about the health of a sick guy who might be dying is pretty inhuman.

That's pretty par for the course. I think they were being edgy (for lack of proper ideas and terminology) by making q pop culture reference - namely, everyone knows what he does, so they can make a joke about him returning to work (which he may not even do anymore,) and they don't have to explain what they mean by work because [complicated dichotomy of ideas incorporating porn, age, and how society views both things] and because ron Jeremy.
