The diet thing, well, we have loads and loads of 18 year olds that are perfectly fit and ready to wear a uniform.  Sure, a high percentage is fat...But we have a population base of 312 million, so there's always 4-6 million in okay condition.

The obvious thing to do with smart kids in good condition, of course, is to get them killed somewhere else, in support of the fat bastards.

FWIW : You're on the left coast, but it's the better option.  It's, by nature, populated by descendants of the ones who kept moving.  All of us left over here are the types who saw weird shit in between the rocks on the beach and spent 300 years poking it with sticks.
