MysticWicks endorsement: ""Oooh, I'm a Discordian! I can do whatever I want! Which means I can just SAY I'm a pagan but I never bother doing rituals or studying any kind of sacred texts or developing a relationship with deity, etc! I can go around and not be Christian, but I won't quite be anything else either because I just can't commit and I can't be ARSED to commit!"

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

I went to an environment & health lecture on Friday and an hour and a half of the most boring presentation I've ever sat through (one guy actually fell asleep and started snoring, loudly) can basically be summarized with "go outside".

I'm not kidding. Dude has a PhD and it took him ninety minutes to say that.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

It does help...the pills are more for the anxiety than the depression though.  The depression sort of comes and goes and, while I don't take it quite as seriously, the people around me seem to be more negatively affected by it.  The anxiety is more personal.

I also started eliminating as much processed foods in my diet as possible as well as going easy on dairy and carbs.  I've been having a fruit and veggie shake mixed with coconut water every morning and that's doing wonders for my energy level.

if it's not primarily  for mood, then I'm a wee bit confused. I am ANXIETY GIRL! and my doc gave me beta blockers for the stopping panic attacks and physical symptoms. I'm getting pretty good at figuring out when to take them.

:)  From some research, it seems that Paxil was the first SSRI to be prescribed for anxiety.  [Link]

I know my generalized anxiety tends to keep me on edge and so my mood is short and angry. So I can already see how this is evening me out.  And, of course, I'm still feeling it out.
