Protip- men and women dont think differently.
I disagree entirely.

Well-played, sir.
Well, yeah, except that I was being 169% serious, and the only evidence I need offer is the POSTS MADE BY PIXIE (and others) HERSELF.
Something about guys always wanting to fix shit when women vent to them, etc. That is correct, but you can't have it both ways, and a politically-motivated statement is NOT a statement of fact, it's a politically-motivated statement.
So saying that men and women don't think differently is Goddamn ridiculous. Just saying.
We've been acculturated differently, we have different hormones, we have variances in brain structure.
So it's different, yeah.
Probably not as different as my ex-wife and I, but different, and (unlike her) in predictable ways.
Therefore we can find common points where men and women's variances often cause friction.
However, individual variations probably outweigh gender variations.*

@Pergamos: that guy has serious screws loose. I might could guess what they are, but he ain't dealin' with it, until he does he's not a safe person to have around, methinks.
right. bolded part- emphasis mine. Pergamos is making a broad generalisation that does not hold water over everyone.
the broad generalisations that all XY people do this and all XX people do that because hardwired biological determinism without social factors playing a part is utter bullshit.
http://gender.stanford.edu/news/2011/is-female-brain-innately-inferior. There are, and will always be outliers in variation of that and actually our brains are more similar than different.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYpDU040yzcmale and female brains are structurally different
but brains develop like muscles and the parts that get fostered due to how we are raised and the play we engage in as kids which comes back to culture influencing brains.
When I had my dyslexia test waay back when, the type of dyslexia I have is more common in dudes. As a kid I had no interest in dolls and prams and barbies. I liked lego and cars, he-man and thundercats action figures and read Haynes manuals (DIY mechanic guides for cars) and hated Grease (the movie). I like to fix more than vent. I like to vent, sure, but that's part of the process to fix shit for me, to figure out a solution.
if you make the assumption that all XY people are the same and all XX people are the same and the two are utterly different you are going to overestimate the differences and fuck up in dealings with other people. and you leave out all the XYY, XXY, XXX, X and fun chromosonal variables.
also look up stereotype threat.
