Anon?  Really?

Yeah, I think it's really interesting, if only because it's very accessible and as such I think it resonates with ordinary people. Anyone can be Anonymous, anyone can participate, and anyone can lead.

It's all dot army-style posting, right?

No, everybody's registered on the forums we're talking about, although there are also plenty in the dot army format you're talking about. But even outside of the forums, I think that the reason Anonymous has taken off so hard is because, essentially, it makes the promise that the revolution will be crowdsourced.

I expect that any real action is arranged on the .onion sites though.

I'll have to drop by those boards tomorrow, see what's up.

Yeah, I haven't really followed for a couple years. Got kinda sidelined by school.  :lulz:

Damn, I remember that place back from when the Chanology protests were going down.

I'd considered going back, but the hilarious postings mean it is now a moral imperative.

I actually can't remember the name of the other forum. Not Enturbulation. The one that ran some campaign or other a couple years ago and then the owner was under investigation, vanished, and then dismantled the whole thing.

Oh well, it's probably just as well that I don't remember.

WITP or SeX, I'd guess. Both of them were great moonbat mines :)

No, it was whatever one the Occupy thing came from.

Occupy came late to WWP, I had to beat them over the head and make empty promises about moderating before it happened. It was on AdBusters or some shit before then, I don't know about any Anon forums that had it, but I was still kinda avoiding a lot of things because the Arab Spring support fucked my head right over.

That rings a bell. I think it was a forum that some Adbusters guy set up specifically for Occupy, and then took it down after. It was pretty cool though because it was up and running before Occupy had a name, and there was that sense of mystery and anticipation as it developed.

Yeah, if you went to WWP from there I can understand why you missed all the productive. Shit hasn't happened there since 2010.

Has anyone ever actually done anything on the clearnet other than disseminate instructions for plans that were made elsewhere?  :? It seems like not a very good idea.

Yeah, but only stuff like "when are we going to go yell at this building?" and "who's bringing the Sunny D?"
