"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

Also, I'm back from the airport.  Yay.  I babysat a Russian for 4 hours and got sexually molested by airport security and payed $9 for a sandwich and accidentally walked into France and it was fucking awful.

 Are you OK?

I basically forgot that I had a scholarship awards reception this afternoon so my short easy day that was supposed to be the day I pickled Ray and got a ton of homework done turned into the ass-long day of mingling and traffic jams.

My benefactor wasn't even there, which actually really bummed me out. No fewer than FOUR of my cohort were there, though, and I met a cool engineering student, so it all works out. Also I ate a LOT of salad rolls.

I am a brute that doesn't even know which fork is for the salad.  My definition of "music" involves looped recordings of trainwrecks and TB wards.  I am unable to converse about such lofty things.

I am a sick person, but it occurs to me that both are so rare that if you combined them, it would actually be art.

I'm joining Phi Theta Kappa. They've been emailing me for over a year, I figure it will look good on my resume or scholarship opportunities or something.

Congrats! Honor societies do look good. I just shelled over $70 for ODK myself. (4 year leadership society.) Keep taking them as they give them to you. From what I hear some of them also have career services offered to their members.

I'm just going to be nauseously proud of myself for a minute here because I started programming in Ruby less than a month ago and tonight, while solving puzzles in a test environment built by coding ninjas, I hacked my way out of the test environment and toggled "victory" to "true", without actually solving the puzzle.

For anyone who reads Ruby, this is the code I wrote to copy the locked test environment, delete it, and recreate it so I could inject my own data into it. [redacted]

Guess I should have joined the honor societies when they were blowing up my inbox instead of marking them as spam......

It really depends on which ones, a lot of them really ARE spam.

I'm trying to get Totchos recognized as Oregon's state dish. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Totchos-Oregons-Signature-Dish/1430604100500430

So far it seems to be working.

I don't know if it's like this elsewhere, but here just about every bar and restaurant has tots and most have some version of totchos.
