This is about the 4th try in 3 years.  Fortunately for the po'buckers involved, nobody has managed to raise nearly enough money.

It's the "pre" part that is saving their lives and the lives of their children.

How could this not end well when it starts out so beautifully? And it is nothing like a prison. It is the exact opposite of a prison. What are they going to be raising their children to be?  What kind of education and moral guidance will be going on in there?  And when the compound finally goes to shit, what sort of people are going to be coming back into society?

I think the answer to the bold would be "Death". It's a one size fits no-one solution and seems like just the vibe they're going for.

You can't have some kind of totalitarian camp without the constant fear of death and doom. It's just not cricket.

I'd give it less than a generation before carousel was implemented. The old being a terrible burden on everyone and so on.
