Must have been an unsettling experience, even for a psychopath. :)

Lucky for him he had already stopped being an all-out genetic determinist when this happened.

1.  Post interesting stuff.
2.  Alienate everyone with full page screeds calling people out by name.
3.  Try to get a conversation started with more good stuff.
4.   Rinse, repeat.
5.  Profit.

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."

Re. 5.: What do you think the profit is? Also, why do you entirely disregard the contribution of those people that did get called out by name?

Are you drunk or something?  That made no sense at all.

Are you drunk or something?  That made no sense at all.

Nope, quite sober.

First, I asked what you think the profit you mention in your point 5 might be.

Then I referred to your point 2: it is true, I did call out some people out by name (you, for instance), but I was wondering: when you describe the process (inaccurately, in my view, by the way), why do you leave out the earlier behaviour of the people I did call out by name? Yours, for instance: it's not as if I have never got full page screeds from you, calling me out by name.

I'm wondering whether you can ever actually come around to noticing, or even admitting, that you misread me. Whenever someone new turns up, it is very clear that you take pride in "getting their number" very quickly. You offer predictions, and then make strenuous efforts to make them come true. True, you have reconsidered a number of times: but every time you disagree with me on something important to you, you immediately jump back to your initial assessment: holist is an asshole. By now, it is very predictable.

There was no "misreading" what you wrote, even if you did, at the end mumble some passive-aggresive bullshit about redeeming virtues and how much you love us all.

Fuck you.

Well okay, fuck me then. :)

I was referring to much earlier. When I first appeared here, and the several rounds of abuse that followed.

It was not passive-agressive at all: the puzzling situation is that even with the storms of abuse I get repeatedly, I can't bring myself to give up on PD, or even you personally, because I find being here enjoyable, occasionally enlightening, sometimes awe-inspiringly good writing (as recently, when I actually translated one of your rants for the Hungarian interwebs).

1.  Yes it fucking is.

2.  That's a damn shame.

Someone needs to keep reminding me not to respond to this jackass.  I think I'm that someone.

Well, it's not like there's a whole lot else going on.   :lulz:

Fucking board is dead as a stone.  Plenty of people coming and going, nobody saying a damn thing.

The board had some life on Friday, if I'm not mistaken.  The Dingo business was kicking for a while.

I'm a zombie today, though.  Rough weekend, plus I just had to watch sportball until 1:00 or so.

I'm equally guilty.  I've just gotten sick of posting to people who never respond.

Yeah, I am getting to the point where when I see that all that's happening on the board is the Holist show, I click away.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."
