I've just been poking at the Facebook Discordians.

It's not all the technologies fault, PD forums have a reputation for being toxic, it puts off a lot of people.

Which is hilarious.

Try The Cellar or Giraffe sometime.  You want fucking toxic?

Or, hell, any pagan board in the world.

There are plenty more toxic forums out there. If anything we are one of the more pleasant ones. We tend not to mediate what people post and we're not swimming in nasty pictures despite that.

It's not my opinion of the reality here, but it IS our perceived reputation, and that needs to change.

It's just come up a lot from the different discordian groups I've come across. They have all heard we're really mean from people who came in here and got chased off. We have a bad reputation because of it, but it's pretty easy to correct, simply talking to people fixes it.
How will our public know how great we are unless we tell them?

Thing is, 99% of the people who were "chased off" left because either they wanted inane babble, or because they had some Cause to espouse that didn't go over well.

I'm not willing to change to suit those sorts of people.

So maybe we need to play that as a strength.

I can remove the scrambler pretty quickly.

I think we could do with some new Titles and I can directly change that but technically that should only be The MGT account that can.

Well, a few members have suggested not fucking with the post count scrambler.   A title for 50 posts or less is probably the answer...And there's no hurry, this can wait on ECH.

You distinguish people by their imaginary racial traits and then hate them for it? See where you went wrong? There are plenty of reasons to hate bipeds, their silly walks for instance. Or the fact that they consistently manage to breed faster than the models predict. They are constantly making themselves obsolete, yet being obsolete gives them more time to breed, making them even less useful per capita.

What I meant to say is The only good racist hates the human race for general reasons, not specific human 'races' for specific reasons. That is just stupid, the inter 'race' differences are way smaller than the interindividual differences, making it a meaningless distinction.
