Went out to the other end of the state today, where they also had these signs. For those of you not familiar, the wikkid retahdid bawston accent is pretty much exclusive to the eastern end of the state, and western Mass is where they make fun of people who say "yahd sale." DOT lost points.

Balls.  They tried to crack a joke in public, so they gained points.

Oh, they absolutely get points overall, but deductions made for perpetuating "eastern mass forgets anything exists outside 495" stereotypes.

route 495 follows an arc around eastern massachusetts, and most people outside the bubble are resentful of the fact that they are largely ignored by the state government, and everyone outside of massachusetts thinks the entire state is Boston. Stupid local stuff.

Unless you live in Southern Vermont, and that's where you go for fun. North Adams is like the town we didn't know where to put, so we put it in the top left corner where no one would mind.

It's like upstate NY.  You know it exists, but it's not what comes to mind when people say "I live in New York".

It's the state of Boston, really.  The rest is the lawn.
