It's a little disturbing when you also consider that in ALL BIRDS, the "male" is the xx chromosome carrier, and the "female" is the xy.

Yeah, it's now referred to as "ZW" because that's supposed to make it less confusing, but that's just the labeling system. Functionally speaking, what that refers to is the sex-determining chromosomes, and in birds the "W" is analogous to the mammalian "Y" chromosome.

The WW boa constrictors certainly are interesting...

Also, the female spotted hyena copulates and urinates through it's enlarged, penis-like clitoris.

Although unlike this fly it doesn't use it for penetration, it pulls it back and stretches the opening to allow penetration by the male, sort of like extreme sounding.
