I've chosen to write more.

The broken laptop is both helpful an unhelpful to this. It's frustrating at times but also makes me think more as to creating prose that hasn't got that specific letter in it, which encourages me to be less lazy in my thinking.


I am actually enjoying this. Seeing if I can communicate effectively without using that particular letter.


It appears to be running smoothly at the moment.

Well then.. seems the shitbag hotel manager got himself fired for stealing petty cash. Word is a fella that been there about 3 years is getting his spot. I've met him.  Seemed an ordinary guy with a fairly sharp mind. All things considered I'm very cool with this and do not intend to contest things should that prove to indeed be the owner's intent. I will put this new manager in touch with my QA as he will need the input.

There have been innumerable moments in my life where the timing and nature of events seem to go my way, but not necessarily in a manner that satisfies my personal ambitions. I consider them a sort of kismet.

I have learned to take these moments as a cue to reassess my current situation.
It has proven to be a good idea every time.

I've decided to use the time between now and when my internship starts up in Septemeber to work on myself. Going to start seeing a personal trainer starting tomorrow (try to kick this prediabetes thing to the curb before it becomes a real issue) and try and do some more writing, including comedy bits, stories and possibly an autobiographical thing about the time i was in a mastermind group.

Apparently...

We cannot be trusted with petty cash.  Students must teleport to the Bursar's office (likely using the same technology they use to illegally enter the country and steal jobs) if they need cash.  Even if it''s a Saturday night, and the Bursar wont be in until Monday.  If we need petty cash for milk or coffee, we must phone our line manager.

The only problem with having a female member of staff working alone at nights is that people who complain about it are sexist pigs who think women are not capable of running a building.

Paperwork is awesome.  We should use as much paper as possible.

We are literally powerless to stop one of our 18 year old students dating a 40 year old in the building.

We are a boarding house, except when we are not.  And we are a student accomodation, except when we are not.  And sometimes, we exist in a state where we are neither a boarding house or student accomodation, until someone asks a question, which collapses the field and causes the management to have an undignified meltdown of righteous indignation.
