TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

I'm doing the Boston Pride Parade again and I'm gonna hand out flyers like a mofo. Taking recommendations for what I should print out. Currently pretty sure I'll be doing the Strange Times pamphlet, but it could use some company.

Time sensitive: I need to finish printing by tomorrow (Friday) night.

Crap.  Wish I had known earlier, I could have plumbed the depths of my work computer.

You should either way, it's not like I'll never hand out flyers again after this :)

What about those ads you worked up for use with that think-tank? They were both eye-catching and pithy.

I'm not sure how many of them would work for a pride parade. We Are What We Do, for example, could be grossly misinterpreted in that context.

But wouldnt that just make it funnier?

Actually, I was thinking of Go the Fuck Outside and No One Is Coming To Save You. Something like that anyway. Been a while since I read that thread.

Threw together these four as a quarter sheet set (they get cut up and handed out individually).

Q. G. Pennyworth

Slightly smaller, six to a sheet. If anyone notices a way these can be made terrible in this context, I'd really appreciate the feedback.

With my 'deliberately out of context' hat on:

'Everyone is faking it' = 'Homosexuality isn't a REAL thing!'

'Freedom Isn't Safe' = Some sort of safe sex message?

Freedom =/= safe
Sexual freedom =/= safe

So, this is why we run things by friends who are good at misinterpreting things. Freedom isn't Safe is out (noted upthread), Everyone is Faking It is out (upthread), One Goddamned Thing is out (poor tone choice), and There is No Conspiracy is out (too many conspiracy nutbags in the audience)

So far Blessed are the Trouble Makers has passed every review and Impolite hasn't caught any flack either. I'll see what else I can dig up, but I already ruled out a lot of them (Nothing will be Okay, Everything is Problematic, My Revenge, Bitch, You Like Bad People, Your Ideas are Bad, Please Stop Doing That, You are Illegal...) for obvious reasons.

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

All in the "know your audience" category, which many people should partake of.

200 pope cards, 60ish Strange Times, about a hundred of the flyers I was supposed to be handing out, and some number of buttons.

I am exhausted and irregularly sunburned, but it was fun.

It sounds like an awesome time!
