Does Hillary Clinton have the necessary qualifications to be Attorney General?

Qualifications? Is that even still a thing, or are we "bringing it back"?

She's a lawyer by training but her background is corporate law, I believe. I don't remember which firm she was with, or if she was in-house, but I seem to recall Wal-Mart being among the clients she represented.

As such, Harris with her public prosecutor background would be the better choice. Not that the AG would be doing it all on their own, but she'd have a far better idea of how to pick her team, go about her investigations and structure the case for maximum exposure, and that kind of leadership can make a difference.

I mean, Harris has also moved leftwards as a Senator. Not massively, but she has shown an ability to change her positions and not in a negative direction.

I personally consider the VP to be a toothless pick unless the President is mentally compromised enough for the VP to take advantage of it anyway. A shame Harris won't be the AG looking into Trump-era crimes though - that would have suited her perfectly, a job where you need someone with a "cop" mentality.

Some of my progressive friends seem to be confused about this and think she, as Vice president, will "Lock Him Up"... or something.

I'm not gonna correct them.

I was trying to be funny

They wanted him to Lock Her Up, but she could Lock Him Up instead

Such a reversal would appeal to my sense of the perverse

It would show them Trumpers what's what

But you people have made everything horrible again

1.  That would be GODLIKE.

2.  No US government positions have any constitutional requirements other than age and citizenship.  The senate is supposed to manage that (and you see with Kavenaugh what a wonderful job they're doing).

So, all the lefties I know that were the most adamantly anti-Trump have fallen into the "I'm comfortable with Trump's victory from a 3rd Party vote split" bandwagon. I can also trace this collective shift in mentality directly to the activity shifts of several influential "Leftist" Social Media Accounts from anti-Trump rhetoric to anti-Biden/Harris rhetoric. Essentially, all of the people who I thought saw the bigger picture went full fucking retard, and I've lost hope in this election. This is going exactly like last election, except instead of everyone's "Protest Vote" going to Trump, it's being re-directed to Third Parties that won't win.

Is anyone else seeing this kind of shift as well in their circles? I'm hoping it's just my friends that have been huffing too much gasoline.

Nope - I'm friends with a LOT of uhhhh "radical leftists", and while many of them are critical of Biden, basically all of them have said that they are voting for him in November.

My liberal and leftist bubbles don't cross all that much.  I see the Leftists are pissed, but will begrudgingly vote for Biden.  The liberals are going with the flow, because that's what they do, and because it was the liberals who chose Biden in the first place.  A lot of liberals I know are absolutely giddy about Kamala, because first black woman VP, leading up to a all-but-guaranteed Presidential nomination in 2028 (if she doesn't take over sooner due to RIP Joe)

Joe will likely resign and retire when he feels that he can.

I intentionally inflict my liberal and lefty bubbles on each other, because fuck all of them with their factionalism while the house is burning down.  Also because it's funny.

Sanders AND Kasich will be speaking at the convention, for Biden/Harris.

That covers everything from socialist to industrialist, leaving out only the populist wankers.
