These are my two feet
My personal space
The spot where I stand
Where you cannot be
This is the space I take up.

These are my two boots
On this grimy floor
Holding my ground
Without apology
This is the space I take up.

I will defend it
With elbows, with fists
With a snap of my head
With a shove of my hips
This is the space I take up.

You cannot be here
I will not leave
Unbroken, unbowed
And still on my feet
This is the space I take up.

I like this.  It speaks to me at the moment.
" It's just that Depeche Mode were a bunch of optimistic loveburgers."

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."

Glad you like! It's been stewing for a couple months, I think it might be done.

Nice. There's always at least one cretin at gigs that has no awareness for the rest of the crowd. Elbows, hips and good footing are invaluable skills for life as well.

Nine naked Men just walking down the road will cause a heap of trouble for all concerned.

HELL YES. I haven't been to a punk show for a while, but I remember defending my 3 square feet of territory with the meanest damn elbows I could throw.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

Yeah. That's more great work QG! I'd say it felt complete. Gave a strong grounding sense as well. Defend your turf, it's yours!
You can't get out backward.  You have to go forward to go back.. better press on! - Willie Wonka, PBUH

Life can be seen as a game with no reset button, no extra lives, and if the power goes out there is no restarting.  If that's all you see life as you are not long for this world, and never will get it.

"Ayn Rand never swung a hammer in her life and had serious dominance issues" - The Fountainhead

"World domination is such an ugly phrase. I prefer to call it world optimisation."

"You program the controller to do the thing, only it doesn't do the thing.  It does something else entirely, or nothing at all.  It's like voting."

I liked the part where the men around me got hyper confused because I was defending my husband (who as a bad back) instead of the other way around.

Also got confused that I was succeeding at it.
