Nikki Haley is meeting with the IAEA later this month, over Iran's nuclear program.

Basically, the USA has to certify that Iran is following JCPOA every four(?) months, as a signatory to the treaty (the actual evaluations and investigations are carried out by the IAEA - which released its report last month showing Iran was continuing to be compliant).

Trump did certify Iran last time around...but it took significant bipartisan pressure and his own SecState to get him to sign it, on the day before it lapsed, and he wasn't very happy about doing so.  So, watch out for something to happen at that meeting, and to subsequently happen in October, when Trump is due to sign again.  I have a bad feeling...

Is it still even vaguely possible that Donald Trump isn't trying to court and keep racists on his side?

I want to say this is too deliberate and obvious a long term pattern, but maybe he's just being manipulated,

Yeah, I've gotten kind of a Theoden vibe from him too

Interesting wording, there.

I saw the video. Didn't actually sound like he said "us" to me. But I didn't watch it more than once.

Haven't you been paying attention? It no longer matters. As long as it's asserted then it happened

I watched the video last night, and didn't hear it the first time either. I was like "Wtf, did that meme from earlier lie to me? THE WORLD IS A LIE AND TERRANCE MCKENNA AND DAVID ICKE WERE RIGHT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" and decided to watch and listen again. The second time, I heard "...charging at me..." which is close enough for me.

Brother Mythos

"Artists set up giant inflatable of President Trump with rodent-like features near Trump Tower"

As per the article: "The Trump rat is modeled on the inflatable rats used by labor unions to draw attention to developers they take issue with. It was set up at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street."

"The creators of "Trumpy the Rat" raised the funds for the balloon on Kickstarter. It has Confederate flag cufflinks."

Brother Mythos

"Shep Smith: Fox News Bookers Failed To Find A Republican Willing To Defend Trump"

As per the article: Smith said, "We, our booking team and they're good, reached out to Republicans of all stripes across the country today. Let's be honest, Republicans often don't really mind coming on Fox News Channel. We couldn't get anyone to come and defend him here because we thought in balance someone should do that."

"We worked very hard at it throughout the day and we were unsuccessful," Smith said.

Associated Press Won't Use Term 'Alt-Right'
By Taegan Goddard

QuoteAt AP, we have taken the position that the term "alt-right" should be avoided because it is meant as a euphemism to disguise racist aims. So use it only when quoting someone or when describing what the movement says about itself. Enclose the term "alt-right" in quotation marks or use phrasing such as the so-called alt-right (no quote marks when using the term so-called) or the self-described "alt-right."
