No one who goes "c.f." to cite something is joking. He fucking italicized the quote. That's entirely too much effort for a joke no one will laugh at.

Huh.  I had an idea a couple weeks back, to find some parallels between Trump and the antichrist (with citations). You know, something to trigger cognitive dissonance in a subset of Trumpers.  I guess I thought PDS was doing something similar.  I wouldn't have made any testable predictions, of course...

For example, the constant talk by his supporters about how Trump speaks from his heart is reminiscent of John 8:44
