I asked only for their consideration. The Mgt has been absent for quite some time, and paeans to them rarely end in anything but blood and suffering, so I wasn’t actually expecting an IP.

Also, I’m homeless and I have a vast quantity of free time and nothing to fill it but Nazi pain. If I can make you hurt it will bring me a tiny moment of laughter, and I can think of few more worthy pursuits.

Sorry to hear that youre homeless, also sorry to hear that in less than 10 forum posts Ive already made you this assblasted.

This is going to end well.  I can sense it.

It actually takes DECADES of study to understand the meaning of the Joker movie. Not surprised someone of your mental stature doesnt get it.

Starting the egg timer, Cain.  Although it doesn't seem like much fun given how dead nuts on-script this one is.

I was almost glad he didn’t get instabanned for being a dead-on-target chud, but knowing it was RP makes me happier about the ban. It’s what makes him cry loudest.

There's over 100 of us in this meat-suit. You'd think it runs like a ship, but it's more like a hundred and ten angry ghosts having an old-school QuakeWorld tournament, three people desperately trying to make sure the gamers don't go hungry or soil themselves, and the Facilities manager weeping in the corner as the garbage piles high.

Every time he comes back, he leads with "YOU'RE ALL INFERIOR" and then "WHY DID I GET BANNED."

He is basically the classic example of a smart guy crawling up his own ass and then pulling it in behind him.  I mean, shit, did anyone here NOT think Ron Paul Weed was going to worship the Joker the moment the movie was released?

He is sort of the label for the stereotype of certain Reddit users.

They should have retired the role after Cesar romero, who so completely developed the role theres been nothing to say for the character since

Caesar Romero set the gold standard: that every person playing the joker must become a successively more deranged fuckpile, in real life

So what was good about this personal brand of Joker by Romero? Or what is it all about?

I can't deny that Phoenix did a good interpretation, but my issue with it is how the character was written. I dont think anyone cares that much and I cant find the words right now, but i find it more of a pathetic portrayal of a psychotic individual and the recounting of his narcissistic grandeur fantasies/deliriums while hes locked up in a ward.

While Ledger's interpretation was pretty good as well, but i prefer how the character was written... surely it has some psychotic tendencies as well, but its nihilistic ideological subtexts appeal to my inner edgy child more.

The fanbase of any of the variants of Joker tho, oh boy.

As far as Joker depictions go, I'm more a fan of Mark Hamill, although I quite liked Heath Ledger's, as well.

I haven't seen this recent Joker movie, though.  It doesn't really sound like my kind of thing.

Its really well acted and its the most believeable Gotham.
The story structure is fairly basic but the nihilistic and mean spirited crutch it uses is very limiting.

Every situation where the protagonist is challenged goes two ways: he tries to be kind and reach out and is harmed or loses something
Or
He performs a violent act and is rewarded for it.

Seriously, rewatch the film, there is nothing more to it. Violence is a key to improve your life is the ttakeaway.

You can't even call that a descent into madness because his violent acts are justified to him every single time, not the actions of a crazy person to follow the guidelines of the world provided.
