My friend Knuckles died today, at age 52.  Heart attack.

I am running out of hard cases.

Too much death.

Sorry it's in your life so often, Roger.

Knuckles was here for a good time, not a long time.

Things fell apart, nobody did anything.

Sorry to hear about Knuckles, Dok.

I'm moving.  Again.  Hopefully on Saturday, if I can find a removalist willing to come within 24 hours.  Which I probably will do, this is London.  Anyway, it will get me away from the asshole brigade here, who kindly informed me I was disrespecting them by complaining about being woken up at 1am in the morning, when I go to work at 6am.

I'm sure you can imagine my response.

Another thing occurs to me, regarding my new position.  Not that I would ever abuse it, but a) I know the best type of legal firm in this city for every single sector and b) every lawyer in this, and every other city, wants to be my best friend because not only can I influence their ratings, I can tell them about their rivals.

Cain

They're now trying to be as noisy as possible without waking the neighbours.  Aw, that's cute.  Too bad I'm taking a day off tomorrow.

The Wizard Joseph

Sorry about your loss Dok.

For my part I'm employed again! Went through a staffing agency. My position may or may not be permanent. I'm covering for a person out on indefinite medical leave. The job is checking and refilling machine coolant and some industrial clean up. Working the weekend shift 12hr days fri-sun. It will be nice to have the 4 days off and the job is pretty easy.

I kinda hope that the person I'm covering for doesn't come back because I could do this for a long time and go to online school on my days off. I feel little bad about hoping someone doesn't recover to my own gain, but only a little bit.

Life can be seen as a game with no reset button, no extra lives, and if the power goes out there is no restarting.  If that's all you see life as you are not long for this world, and never will get it.

Maybe being ill will throw his life into perspective and he will run away and join a punk rock band, touring people's couches across the country.

Also, new place again.  This place looks a lot cleaner and seems (so far) a lot quieter than the other one.  And for only £15 more a month, it has double the space and a faster commute as well.

Apart from some sneezing, I've not seen or heard from the new flatmates.  I consider this a good sign.

The Wizard Joseph

Sounds like you got a good place then. Glad to hear it Cain!

Fingers crossed.  Now I just have to overcome this fever and maybe get a new chair for my room (this one is rather, uh, uncomfortable) and I'll be set.
