On a lighter note, I'm really proud of one of my students.
I've known him for about three years now and he's always been one of my favorites. I've really worried about him and the choices he was making for about a year. But! Little dude moved schools and says he's happier and doing much better here. He's actually doing his work and he's calmed down a lot, which is great bc he was very wild in middle school unless you knew how to handle him. Moments like this make it all worth it.

In other news. I am now owner director of a brand, shiny new VFX production company. Our* first gig is providing ultra-realistic renders of A-list Celebrities in various stages of plastic surgery for a TV documentary so no pressure. Luckily we're* working with an awesome sculptor who's handling the likenesses. We're* responsible for Hair simulation and grooming, skin texturing and delivering final renders for production. Super stoked and super shitting myself in equal measure. It's like a slow burn, mellow adrenaline rush. I'll take it!

That is awesome! I am myself intent on forming a nonprofit, which I assert may be a better engine for retaining value while still getting... Compensated. As a board member you generally don't catch a salary or wage as such, but can definitely write the bylaws in such a way that you are able to pay your living expenses and otherwise play around with various financial instruments and assets such that you always have cash ready to spend on anything in the company interest, which if your mission statement is broad enough can be almost anything. Nonprofits can conduct business such as entering contract,  like, say,  an artistic commission, and ALSO solicit donation among other things. And if you do and maintain the paperwork and accounting correctly

It's worth mentioning that the IRS *loves* auditing nonprofits, as they view all of them as money laundering outfits.  All of them.  They know some haven't gotten around to being guilty yet, but will soon.

Yeah. I am aware of both points guys. I very much thank you both for pointing them out anyway. One of my best friends is engaged to a forensic accountant who is also a very GOOD person. They will be my game master for the books if they takes me up on my offer. I want to be SO CLEAN that my books glow with a radiant light of holiness, but I will fight them for every single little disclosure like I was hiding the global sum of all "dark money" citing the privacy of my donors and other business partners. They will also help me to exploit every LEGAL loophole that I can fully and check me when I get some crazy scheme in my head, of which I already have several. This accountant will eventually lead a team of forensic accountants for... Assessment of possible acquisitions.

Lawyers will be my equivalent of Rome's Praetorian Guard. They will protect the company, its personnel, and assets as well as function as the Company enforcers. I will use certain lists that have recently come to my attention thanks to my favorite shadow person. They must be deeply ethical people who will fight to the very last appeal.

I intend to openly reach out to various other nonprofits, say BACA and The Hell's Angels or various NGO corps into prevention and exfiltration of people being trafficked as chattel, and offer them some VERY interesting assets in exchange for informal alliance and info sharing. If I need something legally nebulous done they may be able where I cannot take such a risk. I ultimately seek UN recognized NGO status as well for legal and financial reasons.

I will also inevitably require physical security personnel and assets. I know ninjas. That's not a joke. I probably shouldn't say more than that.

Infosec will likewise not be a problem.

I may even, for the lulz, have a branch for "spiritual security" once the company has fuck-you money. This will not be a waste because employing such people will get me close to THEIR centers of power.

I have, long ago, SWORN to do great things to help Haiti, and I know just the right people to approach and if necessary... Kinetically Influence to ensure that all investments there help the people, children especially. I swore it to The Kids. If you don't understand why I capitalized that then I think you could afford some study of Afro-Carribian religious practices.
