Instead of helldesk, it turns out I'll be doing data security auditing. Also it turns out this is probably a certainty now.

No one likes the auditor. But this is literally my hobby. I will have so much fun, and I will get away with being an overbearing nightmare beast on account of the user being a security defeating IDIOT 6 times of 10.

And I get to do it all while blasting brutal death metal, playing Bloodborne, and chowing down on just so much pizza. What more can you ask for?

like, today I posted something along the lines of "imagine if we had ranked choice voting" -- that's it! out of nowhere, PD veteran Rygd immediately yelled at me to shut the fuck up because I didn't vote. (the NY primaries aren't until 4/28...) I was like.. what do you think I'm saying? don't get why you're coming at me with a knife in hand? politics makes people stupid. And all that is, like, a tiny microcosm of the big enchilada.

Yeah, my primary isn't until 3/17, and I'm just not in the mood to deal with the Bernie versus Warren camps on my timeline right now, plus the small clutch of Republicans that I still have around for entertainment purposes only.
