I had aimed at 2004, but time travel is very difficult, and it took 16 years to get here.

I didn't.  It's a cloaking device.
Well not the operational device, obviously, but where did you last see the thing that was going to be a cloaking device but wasn't yet because it hadn't been activated?  I mean, unless you assembled it from invisible components, and never saw it, ever.  In which case, kudos.

Is it one of those permanent cloak dealies, or can you just wait for the battery to go dead?
