So tiktok is full of Iranians, it looks like they're having a revolution, but if you believe tiktok Occupy and BLM were revolutions.  Anyone know what's going on?  I feel like the media is being fairly quiet about it because nobody I have mentioned it to face to face had heard anything.

They're protesting heavily against restrictions on women's rights, specifically the bullshit about modest clothing, though there's the usual underlying reasons (spiralling inflation as a result of increased fuel prices and disruption from the Ukraine conflict). It's not a revolution, but it is significant unrest.

Yeah. The women are out there burning hijabs and cutting their hair in the streets. They're fed up.

Really horrified with the unprovoked preemptive attack of Iran. Nuclear talks were due to continue next week, now they are impossible which is exactly what Isreal wants, to make all out war inevitable.

Your horror is justified. I'm appalled that, once again, the government of the U.S. of A. is allowing the government of the State of Israel to dictate our foreign policy. I have never been able to wrap my head around this behavior.

I don't doubt that after Netanyahu was certain our shit-eating MAGAt-in-chief was going to allow him to blatantly commit genocide, he realized he could do anything, to anyone, anywhere in the world, and the U.S. of A. wouldn't do a goddamn, fucking thing to stop him.

Needless to say, I am not proud to be an American.

Yeah, after there was no pushback, and active encouragement of the retaliatory murders on innocent civilian populations in gaza, that would have have given the government of Israel the chance to test what the limits of this new relationship was, if they were not actively working with the US to set up this operation.

My biggest fear is Iran will get support from other countries, this will lead to escalation, I Dont understand it but Bibi's goverment seem to want world war 3.

It's been my assumption that Netanyahu acted unilaterally in attacking Iran, simply because I don't believe the turd administration is capable of intentionally becoming involved in anything without turning it into an episode of reality TV. But, I admit, my assumption is extremely cynical, and I could be wrong.

I also haven't payed much attention to Iran itself for quite a while. I've been viewing them as being a wealthy "proxy war" sponsor, but not a country having dependable, powerful allies. But, I could be wrong about that too.

So, if this thing does continue to escalate, who do you think will throw in with Iran, and also has the real, military power to actually make a difference?

It occurred to me, at the time of this posting, that I'm watching a love triangle involving 'Merica's sociopath-in-chief, Russia's Vladimir Putin, and Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu. It appears the sociopath-in-chief is currently having a lover's quarrel with Putin, while also being in love with Netanyahu.

On the one hand, I suspect the sociopath-in-chief believes that if he can get credit for orchestrating a Russian-Ukrainian peace deal, he can win himself a Nobel Peace Prize, and get to build Trump Towers in Moscow and St. Petersburg. So, in the malignant narcissist's mind, that is an easy, low risk, ego stroking, double win out there for the taking.

On the other hand, if the sociopath backs Netanyahu, I suspect he's thinking he could bask in the glory of being a victorious, wartime president for the rest of his life, secure the eternal adulation of 'Merica's evangelicals, be outright deified by his shit-eating MAGAts, all the while profiting bigly off of 'Merica's vast military-industrial complex. So, being a chickenhawk, a malignant narcissist, and indescribably greedy, this option has to be extremely tempting. In fact, I don't doubt he's literally salivating over it.

Still, there are many very real, very significant risks involved with backing Netanyahu, if the plan were to go South. So, by comparison, backing Putin is a far, far safer bet. In addition, I'm sure Putin is calling the sociopath-in-chief several times a day, trying to sweet-talk the turd into backing him instead. After all, if Iran goes to war with anyone, Russia is guaranteed to lose access to all of the drones, ballistic missiles, ammunition, etc., that Iran is currently supplying to Putin's bogged down war effort.

So, what's the sociopath-in-chief to do? Love triangles are a bitch.

So, it appears we won't be treated to the next episode of this particular reality TV show spin off for a couple of weeks. I'm uncertain if I should be relieved by the delay, or not.

It just goes to show that resolving a love triangle really is a bitch.
