I suppose I really shouldn't find this kind of thing to be amusing, as the MSM has already done such an outstanding job of normalizing the Republicult's™ behavior, but this article got me to wondering:

Collins 'alarmed' by Trump firing CDC head

Now, Collaborator Collins is always "concerned" about something the Republicult™ is perpetrating, but very rarely does anything more than voice her "concern." So, I always believed "concerned" was her normal DEFCON 5 level.

Then, I realized from the title of this particular article that she's now 'alarmed.' So, I immediately equated Collins being 'alarmed' to her moving from her DEFCON 5 to her DEFCON 4 level.

And so, I decided to actually read the text of this article, and found the following quotation:

'"I am very concerned about and alarmed by this removal," Collins said.'

Then, I became a bit confused, after reading the words, "very concerned," and "alarmed" in the same sentence. And I wondered if "very concerned" and "alarmed" are both DEFCON 4 indicators.

Adding to my confusion, still further down in the same article, I found the following quotation:

'"I am extremely alarmed at the firing of the CDC director," Collins told reporters following an appearance with the Maine Sheriffs Association.'

So, as Collins is now talking "extremely alarmed," I'm wondering if in her mind this situation has actually escalated to her DEFCON 3 level?! But, I think it's far more likely that "very concerned," "alarmed," and "extremely alarmed," are all indicative of her DEFCON 4 level. Or, in reality, are "concerned," very "concerned," "alarmed," and "extremely alarmed," still all just her normal DEFCON 5 level? Based upon her years and years of past behavior, I'm tempted to believe she's still at the latter level. But then, she probably has realized by now that she's an unpopular candidate for reelection in 2026.

I'd been hoping for an opportunity to post a link to an article with this title, and this afternoon I found one:

As per this article:

"Trump supporters have been using the phrase coined by Chief Justice of New York's Supreme Court Sol Wachtler when he said, "any good prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich," to defend Trump's many misdeeds and criminality, but apparently, the former Fox News host failed to do so."

I'm beginning to wonder if it's even possible to find and hire legitimate college graduates who are more incompetent than all of these very popular Fox News Media "personalities."
