Since then its only gotten meaner and better at this game.
Yes, Uncle Sugar has a long recorded history of interfering in other governments' governing.

Still, my recent thinking about "The Deep State Oligarchy Conspiracy" is about how Uncle Sugar got this way. Most members of the Republicult™, and many members of the general public, do not understand, or do not really care about the disproportionate influence our mostly shadowy oligarchy has on our country, and our lives. And so, it amuses me to label this particular influence a conspiracy. But, if you disagree with me about this, I'm fine with it. After all, I am easily amused.

Its not just limited to the US, the EU do it to, in Africa. Beloved Muammar was assassinated under the direction of Clinton and Nicolas Sarkozy to cover up his dirty work, which he eventually got prosecuted for.
It never occurred to me to use the words "beloved" and "Muammar" in the same sentence. Still, Gaddafi was killed in 2011, and my time in Libya was back in 1979. But, no doubt a lot had changed in those three decades.

While I was there, for a couple of weeks in the spring of 1979, the Three Mile Island accident occurred. But, I didn't find out about it until a week later, when I was handed a newspaper on my flight out of the country. But, without being too long winded about it, I did not perceive Libya as being anyone's "happy place." The US embassy was in Tripoli at that time. And, that was the old embassy that was attacked later that same year. Now, back then, Tripoli was only about 5% the size it is today. However, to me, the most surprising thing about it was that there were no young men on the streets. When I asked about that, if I received an answer at all, it was a mumble about the young men being "in the army." So, in reality, Tripoli was close to being a ghost town. And, I remember that Gaddafi had plastered his image on huge billboards on the east and west sides of the town. Now, if you picture Douglas MacArthur with more medals, but without the corncob pipe, it will give you a pretty good idea about how Muammar presented himself to his loving public. I would have liked to have taken a photo of one of those billboards. But, I had been warned ahead of time, if I tried to take a camera into Libya, it would have been confiscated at the airport upon arrival.

Last, the way I remember it, Gaddafi was shot by a Libyan national immediately after his capture. And, at the time, it was never even hinted that the US, or France for that matter, were behind the murder. And again, the way I remember it, the "international community" was outraged, and wanted the Libyan national to be charged with murder. But, of course, the international community had no legal standing in the matter. So, I'm not claiming that Clinton and Sarkosy were not somehow behind Gaddafi's murder. It's just that this conspiracy is completely new to me.

Perhaps its just a conspiracy theory in the US so, to every nation outside that has been on the other end of it, its painfully transparent.

I'm sure Libya wasnt a pleasant place to be, and he was a dictator, but the country had universities and international airport, better rights for women then they have now and good access to medical care. I wont gloss over the atrocities, the guy treated the darker skinned africans like slaves, eliminated his competition.

But none of those things are the reason he is dead, it was for championing a single currency for Africa.
