Goddess Eris Snubbed Yet Again!

Seriously, am I really the only one around here who notices stuff like this?! And, I'm not even watching the Olympics!

The MSM is full of Olympic coverage like this:

"Did the Olympics mock the Last Supper? Explaining Dionysus and why Christians are angry"

But, did anyone else notice that our Beloved Goddess Eris was not in attendance? Anyone at all?  Even artist Jan van Bijlert was wise enough to include our Goddess Eris in his Le Festin des Dieux (The Feast of the Gods). There have already been some serious repercussions over this latest snub, and I'm sure our Goddess Eris is just getting started!

I think Eris would be ok with that, the Dionysia is a celebration of a god, Hades wouldnt party in the temple of Athena, there's a social etiquette to these things.

I'd be more worried about all the Olympians slighted that mortals are only celebrating their drunken idiot relative at an event named after their home.

I knew Dionysus was worshiped at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi in the winter months. But, I knew next to nothing about the Dionysia festivals of Athens.

My fear of the legendary mischief of Goddess Eris over a new snub at the Olympics Opening Ceremony comes from articles like this:        Paris Olympics opening ceremony performance inspired by this Dutch painting, not "The Last Supper."

As per this particular article:

According to this article and Wikipedia, the Golden Apple of Discord in on the table on the far right of the painting, and Goddess Eris is, probably, the female figure on the far right. (Neither this article, nor Wikipedia identify both female figures.)

Anyway, my reasoning was that as Goddess Eris was in the painting that inspired the Olympic performance, but was not represented in the actual Olympic performance, she may have taken serious offense to the situation. Now, if it had been up to me, I would have had a beautiful Greek woman portray Goddess Eris in the Olympic performance. I mean, why take a chance on possibly offending her? We all know what happened after Zeus offended Eris, back in the day.

So, I think I've read that you are of Greek ancestry somewhere on this forum. And, as you are the forum's Tyrannical Overlord, should I perform penance for my lack of knowledge of the Dionysia festivals, and is my fear of the consequences of offending Goddess Eris truly unjustified?

I wasn't familiar with the painting, and that is hilarious, you are right of course, amazing that they chose to leave her out.
