Here's a glimmer of hope for the Resistance 2.0:

"Opinion | Trump will take office as a lame duck. That could matter — a lot."

"Let's free our politics from the unhealthy hold the president-elect has on both parties."

As per this article:

"Fourteen words should guide how citizens and politicians approach the next four years: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice."

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is clear and unambiguous. It says nothing about "consecutive terms" and contains no hedges subject to reinterpretation. Someone who wins the presidency twice can't ever serve again. Period.

This means that when he is inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2025, Donald Trump immediately becomes a lame duck president. This has important implications for everyone in government. That's especially true for Republicans."

Here's the link  to this article:        TSF Will Be a Lame Duck President

It may not sound like much, but it will make some difference to Republican politicians willing to take a stand against, at lease, some of TSF's excesses.

Trumpism is probably going to outlive The guy himself. He's not going to be around that much longer, but there will probably be some people who will carry on some kind of continuity. If he had soundly lost this election, the odds would have been much better that that would have been, for the most part, the end of it.

But not now. This was our last chance to stamp it out for good and we blew it.

I expect we'll see a bunch of Jan 6 insurrectionists in congress within a few years.

It's unrealistic to expect Trumpism to completely disappear after TSF is gone. But, I can not conceive of anything Trumpism is going to actually do for average 'Mericans that is going to make their lives better.

As I've already written, I'm preparing for a major drop in the stock market, and a recession. I find it hard to believe that the average 'Merican is going to be very happy about that when it happens. And, I don't see any way TSF is going to be able to escape the blame for it when it happens. The data is going to tell the true story, no matter how many more lies he and his worshipers are willing to tell.

So, I expect the pendulum to swing back the other way, and the Resistance 2.0 helping to make it happen.

The New York Post is another Murdock-owned propaganda megaphone, and has been pro TSF from the beginning. But, the Democrat Party's election defeat is already old news, and this fish wrapper has to publish something new. So, here's another example of the MSM inadvertently helping the Resistance 2.0, while chasing after revenue:

"New York Post comes out against RFK Jr. HHS nomination"

As per this article:

"The editorial board of the New York Post is admonishing President-elect Trump over his nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to run the Department of Health and Human Services.

The Post called Kennedy's views on health "a head-scratching spaghetti of what we can only call warped conspiracy theories, and not just on vaccines.""

Here's the link to this article:      NY Post comes out against RFK Jr. nomination

We're going to see a lot more of this type of TSF regime criticism, as revenue is much more important to the MSM than any political agenda.

So, now that the election is over, farmers are panicking. Who da thunk it? Farmers voted for TSF en mass, and now they're panicking. I'm shaking my head as I type this.

"Donald Trump's Deportation Plan Causes 'Panic' Among Farmers"

As per this article:

"President-elect Donald Trump's deportation plan is causing widespread "panic" among farmers at risk of losing staff and business.

Agricultural output will fall between $30 and $60 billion if Trump's flagship policy is carried out, according to the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC).

One of the most prominent features of Trump's immigration policy was the removal of millions of undocumented immigrants. Trump advocated for the immediate deportation of individuals who were in the U.S. illegally, particularly those who had committed crimes."

Here's the link to this article:      Now Farmers Are In a Panic Over TSF's Deportation Plan

Unfortunately for the Resistance, if there's one group who is near totally unreachable, from my experience, it's farmers. I wouldn't waste my time and resources on them.

The Democratic Party needs to amplify, and repeat this story ad nauseam between now and the next election:

"Trump Judge Blocks Overtime Pay For 4 Million Workers"

"The overtime rule is one of the most far-reaching economic reforms that President Joe Biden has fought for."

As per this article:

On Friday a federal judge in Texas struck down a new rule from the Biden administration aimed at extending overtime protections to millions of workers.

Judge Sean D. Jordan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled that the Labor Department went beyond its authority in issuing the regulation earlier this year. He granted summary judgment to the state of Texas, which had sued to stop the rule from taking effect."

Here's the link to this article:      TSF Appointed Judge Sticks It to 4 Million Workers

I wonder how many of those 4 million people voted for the Republicult™ in the last election. And, I wonder how many of those 4 million people will remember the consequences of their votes when they head to the polls during the next election.

Pretty much this.

So, after the MSM did their level best to normalize TSF for profit, they're now giving us advice on how best to deal with him:

"The guide to fighting back against Trump 2.0"

"Ordinary people can organize themselves to break MAGA's political strength. We know because we've seen it before."

Here's the link to this article:      The MSM Is Now Here to Help

The most important thing I got out of this article was this little gem that was referenced inside:

INDIVISIBLE: A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO DEMOCRACY ON THE BRINK

This is a long document, and I haven't finished studying it myself. Nevertheless, I want to quickly get it out there for other volunteers for the Revolution 2.0 to read and comment on.

This was only a skirmish in what is going to be a long war:

"Gaetz withdraws as Trump's pick for attorney general, averting confirmation battle in the Senate

As per this article:

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Matt Gaetz withdrew Thursday as President-elect Donald Trump's pick for attorney general amid continued fallout over a federal sex trafficking investigation that cast doubt on his ability to be confirmed as the nation's chief federal law enforcement officer.

The announcement caps a turbulent eight-day period in which Trump sought to capitalize on his decisive election win to force Senate Republicans to accept provocative selections like Gaetz, who had been investigated by the Justice Department before being tapped last week to lead it. The decision could heighten scrutiny on other controversial Trump nominees, including Pentagon pick Pete Hegseth, who faces sexual assault allegations that he denies."

Here's the link to this article:        Gaetz Gives Up on US Attorney General Job

Again, this was only a skirmish. But, it cost the Resistance 2.0 zero casualties, and zero political capital. So, we take this small win, and prepare for the next conflict.

The PalmerReport is the first site I visit when looking for the latest political news and opinions. Here's Bill Palmer's take on the Gaetz exit from the US Attorney General nomination:

"How the Democrats took Matt Gaetz down behind the scenes"

As per this article:

"The Democrats will get no credit for this, because they never do, but they played a key role in forcing Matt Gaetz out. The Democrats still control the Senate Judiciary Committee for the moment, and they used it to formally request the ethics report last night. Gaetz must have thought they were going to get ahold of it, because he withdrew just hours after the request was made."

Here's the link to this short article:      The PalmerReport's Opinion on the Gaetz Nomination Exit

I rarely reference articles from this site, as they're usually more opinions, insights, and political advice, than hard, first-hand news reports. Still, Bill Palmer's opinions and insights are valuable, and he never works both sides of the street for click bait. He's die-hard liberal all the way.

"US Muslims Who Voted For Trump Now Upset With His Pro-Israel Cabinet"

"We are very disappointed. It seems like this administration has been packed entirely with neoconservatives and extremely pro-Israel, pro-war people."

I'm really tempted to make more fun of them for the choice they made. But, they were far from being the only group who made that exact same choice, and have already come to regret it.

Here's the link to this article:      US Muslims Who Voted for TSF Now Upset

The Resistance 2.0 is going to have to make contact with, and enlist these people in our cause. And, I don't foresee it being very long before they're ready to disavow the "Dark Side." My hope is that the Democratic Party doesn't simply use them, and then abandon them again.

Of course it will, and it will do the same to you.  If you think the Democrats are a resistance you aren't at all serious about resisting.

I agree with you, but I gotta ask:  Who do you see as the most effective kernel of resistance?

Here's what the next midterm elections currently look like for the US Senate:

2026 United States Senate Elections

It's not too early to start planning to defend the Democratic held seats, and attempt to pick up some of the Republican held seats. Given the damage TSF and his merry menagerie are likely to do to the country, there should be opportunities to make some gains in the Senate.
