I wish Liberals could separate "good at mocking Trump" from "would make a good president" but that's fine for now, Newsom is definitely doing a good job of mocking Trump.

I agree. As of today, Newsom is not my first choice for the next Democratic candidate for POTUS. But, the election is still a long way off. A lot is going to happen between now and then. And, I'm hoping a number of other good Democratic candidates will "throw their hats in the ring."

Yes his biggest task is make a tweet that causes Trump to have a stroke. If he does then, I dont know, nominate him for a regicide award.

Abbot Mythos

This morning, I found myself in the strange position of not being able to decide if the real possibility that the POSOTUS may soon "depart this mortal coil" will be a good thing for the Resistance 2.0, or not. And, it was the following article that led me to my indecision:

Trump death watch has begun

As per this article:

"Unless something catastrophic has happened in the short time between when I'm writing this and when you're reading it, Donald Trump is still alive. As I wrote last night, the mere fact that this has to be stated is a problem for Trump. So far this weekend social media has erupted with multiple trending topics which either falsely claimed Trump was dead or asked for proof of life. And while false claims are always unwarranted, the demands for proof of life are absolutely justified, given the circumstances."

This article then goes on to describe the current situation in detail, and discusses the pros and cons of the POSOTUS soon being flushed away.

And, after reading the entire article, it occurred to me that, as much as I want this ignorant sociopath gone right now, it may not be in the best interests of the Resistance 2.0, our republic, or the free world in the long run. For me, it was a clear case of Godwin's law of Nazi analogies arising in my own thoughts. For, I remembered reading, may times, that well into WWII, some Allied leaders began to believe that not assassinating Hitler was helping their war effort far more than if competent German leadership had been given the chance to take over.

The question is, would his replacement be more competent?  Vance is certainly a more compliant puppet for the oligarchs, but he doesn't have anywhere near the charisma of the orange turd.

Yes, that is the question.

And, following is another quotation from the same article I originally quoted above:

"Now imagine if Trump succumbed to his health problems tomorrow and JD Vance became President. He's a bumbler for certain. But he's not senile. He's not lumbering around like a corpse. Vance would get a honeymoon period from the media. It would take time for us to force Vance's sandals [sic] and extremism into the national conversation even as the media tried to normalize him. And during that time, Vance and the Republicans would accomplish a whole lot of evil."

I have no doubt the MSM, in addition to the MAGAt Media (MM), would happily give Vance a honeymoon period. And, depending upon the timing between now and the 2026 elections, that honeymoon period would probably have catastrophic consequences on our chances of taking the power of the House of Representatives, and possibly even the Senate, away from the Republicultâ„¢.

Now, I, personally, believe that Vance is a lying phony. But, I also believe that, like the current POSOTUS he willingly serves, he's in it for the money. And, that makes Vance extremely dangerous.
