Another reason to hate Rummy

I get headaches, that's life.  At certain times of my life they have been worse than others.  About 3 years ago they started to get worse again.  I started taking some meds to make them managable.  Also shortly after the headaches began, about 6 months, I was diagnosed as diabetic, so even though I hate it, I switched from regular pop to diet. Lately even with the meds they have been unbearable.  So, I decided to stop drinking pop with nutrasweet and the headaches have lessened considerably.  Then I find this:

QuoteDonald Rumsfeld, In June 1977, he became Chief Executive Officer of G. D. Searle & Co., a worldwide pharmaceutical company, where he served until 1985. The turnaround there earned him awards as the Outstanding Chief Executive Officer in the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1980 and 1981

He along with Robert Shapiro are solely responsible for using their political muscle and graft to buy off the FDA and get NutraSweet approved and are responsible for the death and disease caused.

Oh yeah. Aspartame can also damage already weakened eyes in diabetics.
And aggravate ADHD in children, and aggravate Parkinson's in adults.

I know, I know, there are studies on both sides that will say "It's safe, damnit! Now take off your tinfoil hat and get back to your cubicle!"

But the fact is that no study is as good as YOU are at telling whether something is making you sick or not. We don't listen to our bodies anymore, and we get in trouble for it. If your head hurts when you drink it, then by all means listen to your head, not the studies.

Acesulfame K seems to be bothering me too, but not Splenda.  I am drinking lot of tea and coffee.  It's just such a pain in the ass.  Not as bad as trying to sort out what has MSG in it, but still a pain.  And another reason to hate Rummy, like I needed another one

Almost everything has MSG...even the stuff that says it doesn't cuz the FDA allows for companies to change one little thing in its chemical make up and call it something else..Anything that is hydrolized means MSG

I think splenda's alright. Always hated the taste of aspartame though.

MSG is probably the hardest thing to sort out on the food labels.  If it wasn't for the internet it would be impossible.  I lost that link you sent me, could you post it?  Also, nutrasweet and MSG are both excitotoxins, so if you are sensitive to one you may be sensitive to the other.  I know it didn't used to be this bad with Nutrasweet and the headaches for me, so I must have developed a reverse tolerance with use.

Anyone can develop intolerances to the crappy food that is sold at your corporate grocery sotres...They have been increasing the amount of MSG allowed in foods since the 40's or 50's...Back then it wasn't so bad but nowadays most things contain like 30 or 40 percent MSG, maybe more...They use it a lot cuz of all the preservatives that are used which take away from the taste of the food..Or the food is just so plastic they need to load it with MSG t make it taste good...I think I also read that MSG reacts in your brain chemically and tricks you into tasting what you want to taste and not the actula taste..or something like that...

A friend of mine says the first clue she got MSG is when something tastes too good.

Thanks for the links
