Instead of just writing it down, people have made tiny works of art, often with deep resonance.

Who cares if the secrets are true or not?

Some of the worst stories are probably the ones that are the most true.  I have heard stories like that too many times to doubt them.  I think it is actually great for those people to be able to tell a secret like that without fear of repercussions.  I am sure some of them were helped, even by being able to tell their secrets in an anonymous way.
