Here,Äôs something I learned from the past couple of weeks I,Äôve been unable to post regularly to these boards:

Perhaps it,Äôs a coincidence, but it seems some of my creative energies have been banked somewhat, in that I haven,Äôt had a decent idea about a story, a creative insight into chaos, or even a decent rant building up.  Hell, even my standard template, pseudo-gnostic esoteric in-jokes, doesn,Äôt seem to be able to help.

In short, what I,Äôm missing is the constant stream of non-linear consciousness that only PD.com seems to be able to provide.  And you know what that means, boys and girls,Ķ

Since this board seems to contain 30% rants and Catology (i.e. non-theology, i.e. insights into Discordianism), and 70% blog/cookies/pie/fluff, I can only conclude that a mind such as mine can only be properly maintained when it is getting a certain amount of so-called ,Äúuseless,Äù information along with the straight-up ,Äúshit your hate,Äù posts.

Some may think pointless, silly, and downright stupid threads only detract from the ,Äúserious business,Äù at hand, but I now say that it is precisely threads such as those that feed a mind and spur it into creative areas.  The rants and essays are welcome products, but they have to start somewhere; and the po-type ideas (,Äúpo,Äù being the confluence of two seemingly unrelated things) found in blog and fluff strings are the perfect breeding grounds for such new ideas.

PD.com can appear utterly pointless at times.  But much like a glass of water super-saturated with sugar, give it a light tap on the side of the glass, and amazing crystalline structures can form.  Out of the chaos of a hundred fluff posts, a brilliant rant or parable can be constructed.

In short, I miss you guys, and I can,Äôt seem to get back in the creative groove.  Boo hoo.  Guess I,Äôll just plunge fishhooks into my eyelids.

LMNO - I believe you have rediscovered Brian Eno's theory of 'Culture Compost'. That is, before you get any great art/music/thought etc it has to incubate in a mound of shit first.

Never fear my good man. I'll send some useless drivel to your e-mail

I don't really have a problem with fluff.

Unless it is used to derail the stuff *I* like.

Unfortunately, this has - in the past - been exactly the case.  Put a couple of hours into a rant, and have it derailed by some bullshit about pie or face raping bats.

I don't think there's ANY danger of that.

I have no drugs, I have no insurance (we should be getting BCBS any second now) so, I am working with OTC remedies which are working in waves.  I may have to go to bed and see if the pretty colors can lull me to sleep, I dunno.

PS we went through this before, that crap doesn't do anything for me, sorry.

Bottoming out your blood pressure doesn't work?

Then you don't have a migraine.  You have something else.

Which one?  It was 25 years ago, I don't know which I was prescribed.  The one I took before may have a different name, but it would just knock me out and I would wake up with the same headache.  The headache might have been gone while I was out, I dunno.

Then you don't have a migraine.  You have something else.

Taking Zomig, which is a vasoconstrictor, does help.  It has no analgesic properties, it is just for migraines.  I have to wait for the insurance to kick in to be able to get any.  Either that or see if I qualify for Medicaid.  One or the other.  It is $5 a pill with insurance.  That is why I am trying everything else.

I also take generic Inderal everyday as a preventative.  I have also eliminated about a dozen triggers over the last couple of years.  I was fine this morning, and sometime this afternoon it started.  Right now it feels like someone took a 2 by 4 and hit me across the side of my face.  I can feel where the trigeminal nerve branches out, because that is where about half the pain is.  Like a line of pain down my cheekbone, then branching out across that side of my face.  In a little while it will probably feel like it's burning and freezing at the same time.  It also hurts around the side of my head and forhead.  My sinuses are clear, so it's not a sinus headache.  Sounds and light bother me, I don't feel like throwing up tonight, but that's probably because I took something for that.  So, if you think I don't have a migraine, you can kiss my lilly white ass motherfucker.

Eldora, did you look up the contraindications for feverfew and the stuff you're already using?

Being careful won't get you anywhere.

That's why TGRR uses Limbaugh Brand Wild-Assed Generalizations.

You should, too.

TGRR,
Plug man from hell.

Yeah sure, and be struck deaf like Limbaugh too?

That was the moment I realised God had a warped-ass sense of humor, BTW.

Could be worse.  God could have shoved a vibrator up his ass, like he did to O'Rielly.

TGRR,
Can handle deafness.
