Friendzone is such a weird concept.  I know men and women do think differently in some respects, I haven't really figured out what those respects are, because the ones where people claim we think differently I tend to find we don't.  There is a giant pile of movies about a woman falling in love with her best friend, it is one of the most prominent plots in romantic comedies and other chick flicks.  I know sex can fuck up a friendship, but I don't know anyone who isn't willing to take that risk if he or she actually wants to have sex with the person in the first place, especcially if he or she wants to have sex with the person fairly badly.

I have a friend who is one of those "nice guys" who gets put in the "friendzone"  He's not really a nice guy.  He tries to guilt female friends into sex, he doesn't bother to keep himself clean or to lose any weight (and he weighs a LOT) and he tried to rape one of our mutual (male) friends in his sleep.

I cheered up a friend who is having a hard time right now.

Those Exodus guys deserve to burn in their own Hell.

Well, this Chambers guy seems to have had a change of heart.  Pissed off all the other "straight therapy" assholes in the process.

Yeah. That's a good thing. He's got a long way to go, though, if he's going to try and undo the damage he did.

I don't think he can undo the damage.  That he has made it harder for others to do damage is good though, and he himself is actually one of the damaged, he tried to pray the gay away and failed, there is undoubtedly someone else who convinced him that would work.

Right, then.  Any volunteers to haul him behind the chemical sheds and put a bullet in his neck?

I don't think I understand this response.  I said he can't undo the damage, but that he is helping to keep more damage from occurring, and that he himself is a victim of the same system that he recently denounced and you read that as advocation for a quick execution?

I am really happy with my cat.  He is affectionate in a mellow sort of way, coming by for some petting and then heading off again without doing the laying on my keyboard or book thing that some cats do, he likes to play and bite and such, but he is pretty good about keeping his claws sheathed and not biting too hard.  He's really everything I like about cats without any of the stuff that I don't.

This is a tricky one.  Without an incentive companies will not choose to hire disabled workers.  That doesn't mean they should be allowed to pay them as little as they are paying.

A lot of people get dogs, not realizing that even very small dogs need a great deal of exercise to not go crazy. My dog ran and swam probably eighteen miles today, and she'll be antsy again by dog-thirty Friday. Small dog ran about six and she's good for a few days too. Then we do the short beach trip where we all get a few miles in Friday, and next week we do another long trip, and so on.

I kinda knew the dog would be too much when we got him, but he had been purchased by retarded criminal cousin, who was now moving somewhere dogs were not allowed and better the dog be at my house than sent to the pound.

GET YOUR FUCKING DOG BACK NAO!

When you find him, feed the cat to him.

My dog was a big pile of love, he wanted to kiss and cuddle with every other animal he met, didn't matter what it was, dog, cat, squirrel, rat he just wanted to be buddies.  He's been missing a few weeks now and Pitbulls are really popular around here so I strongly suspect someone else has found him and either didn't hear the announcement on the radio or see our flyers or else didn't care and just wanted to keep him.  Either way as long as it was not someone who likes fighting dogs (fortunately not very common here) I can't be too miserable.  That dog loved to run and we don't really have a yard, he always had more energy than he knew what to do with.

My wife handles the picture taking and she is out of town for work at the moment.  Once she gets back I will have some pictures though.  He is not a very remarkable looking cat to be honest, simply black and white and feline.  he likes playing in his water bowl, which also seems odd to me, it is a giant water bowl and he will splash my daughter with the water from it.

Two vast and trunkless legs of stone / I have a cat

He's a new addition to the family.  We got him because our dog (a purebred pitbull) ran away and my daughter was sad.  He is a chubby but not garfield fat black and white cat.  He is mouthy as fuck and will yell to let us know someone is at the door, which is kind of endearingly unusual for a cat, at least i think it is.  His name is Jarvis, after the butler in Iron Man.  he takes a while to warm up to people, but we have had him a few weeks now and he is starting to get quite social with us.

What's sad is that you used to be able to read 1984 online for free, but since it's gotten so popular again they took it down :(

You can still read it online for free.  All his stuff is online for free

Sounds like this would make any sort of anti-homosexual propaganda also illegal, since it has to acknowledge the existence of gays.

I get owned by my players periodically. It makes me feel dumb and gives them a story to tell later.  That's part of the fun.  I have wiped out the party a few times and that makes me feel even dumber but, also gives them a story to tell.  I count either as a fuckup on my part.  I want the party to be in danger, but to eventually achieve victory.  If they get fucked I want it to be in a way that they regret, but which doesn't wipe out their characters.  That's the style of game I run and i manage to succeed most of the time in that goal.

I do encourage a lot more PVP and non combat play than Roger seems to as well.  PVP isn't usually actual fighting, although it has been before, it's more varying agendas that are in competition to some degree.  Players also get to tend their estates, interact with merchants, and get involved in political intrigues in addition to combat.  i find that breaking things up with a few combat heavy nights, interspersed with some with no combat or just some light random encounters keeps the players engaged.  We've been playing the same campaign for 6 years now, with a fluctuating but solid group of players that is usually about 6 or 7, so it looks to me like I must be doing something right.  It's houseruled all to hell, but the house rules are consistent and only change after discussion with players if something is reducing the fun.

Pretty shitty case, but how i perceive it is "A minion of our 1st world overlords can't and shouldn't be held to the same standards that we 3rd worlders live by", so meh.

Will read tomorrow.

But it is an article of faith with me that I live by the laws of a nation I am visiting.  If their laws are so odious that I cannot do that, then I will not go.

For the record, I go to Sonora all the time.

I really dont think you should continue going to Sonora, seriously.

There are only two places I'm willing to pass thru or visit, and those are Distrito Federal and Querétaro, or Tijuana (but only because thats my birthplace, and no, not by bus, i get there by airplane).

OH, and btw, Distrito Federal =/= Estado de México
