I wonder if every 20th-century English language novel you've read has margins full of your notes on the grammatical errors the authors made?

Okay, gonna be honest here. Joined (as dirty as that felt), then read about halfway through the Manson thread, and actually ended up leaning toward Those People's side, BASED ONLY ON WHAT WAS PRESENTED IN THE THREAD.
Fully willing to accept that this was the dumb position to take. FTR I did find that Those People were saying even more numerous idiotic things than the points I found more - ahem - sapient (hard to apply that word in the context).
(I guess I won't bring the argument here since this thread isn't that thread but I'd be glad to PM about it)
