News:

PD.com forums: a disorganized echo-chamber full of concordian, Greyfaced radical left-wing nutjobs who honestly believe they can take down imaginary Nazis by distributing flyers. They are highly-suspicious of all newcomers and hostile to almost everyone, including themselves. The only thing they don't take seriously is Discordianism.

"-because of quantum" will now replace "-in game" as the phrase I append to fortune cookies.
I'm going to see how many Wikipedia articles I can get it included in.

Clearly, Twitter is a terrorist organisation.

Has Twitter been the target of any of these political DDOS attacks? It would be great if they had to trawl through every connection made during those.

Sounds more like a standard parody brand.  Replacing one one Greek goddess with another to parody Nike shoes.
Except for this:

I used to live in Hastings. This kind of thing is so common I'm surprised it made news.

QuoteThe CIA has launched a task force to assess the impact of the exposure of thousands of U.S. diplomatic cables and military files by WikiLeaks.

Officially, the panel is called the WikiLeaks Task Force. But at CIA headquarters, it's mainly known by its all-too-apt acronym: W.T.F.

PHOENIX (Reuters) - Ending nearly two weeks of suspense, a 64-year-old substitute
teacher and single parent from Arizona claimed a $95.3 million Powerball jackpot.
Sheila Verke, a Fort Mohave resident, presented the single-winning ticket to lottery officials in Phoenix on Monday. She opted to take a lump sum payment of $49.9 million, saying she plans to buy a recreational vehicle and travel the country.
What the fuck, Arizona!?  :argh!:

QuoteDutch police arrested a 16-year-old teenager on Wednesday for his involvement in the online attacks against Visa and Mastercard, organized by supporters of WikiLeaks.

According to a press release by the Netherlands' Public Prosecution Service, the boy has confessed to participating in the attacks. They believe he is a part of a much larger group of hackers, who they are in the process of tracking down.

Well, fuck. Anonymous over.
Or maybe Anonymous will just attack the Dutch police instead.

Note that there is zero investigation over the DDoS attacks on Wikileaks, despite a confession to them posted on Twitter
That's because those attacks are from American Heroes.

Meanwhile, I have Atika Shubert on my television interviewing Anonymous in a chat room. I love news reports about Anonymous, because so regularly they absolutely fail to understand what is happening. They talk about them as if they're the subversive hacker group you see in so many movies. "A team of cyber-turrurists known only as 'Anonymous Operations' has taken credit for the attack. We speak with an unofficial spokesperson for the group."

This was mentioned before, but was shot down with the argument that "discordia doesnt acknowledge the state, state doesnt acknowledge discordia".
My Discordia acknowledges the state in the same way that it acknowledges a barstool.

Does anybody know anything about the New Zealand drama? Apparently there was a showdown and now he's looking for somewhere else to shoot it...
Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance, which is a union based in Australia, was all "WE GONNA BOYCOTT YO SHIT". A whole lot of people decided that nobody should work on The Hobbit. Butthurt and confusion ensued. "Why is Australia in charge of our actors?", "is there still a boycott or have they cancelled the blacklisting of this movie?" All the industrial action has apparently stopped, and people are marching about with signs telling the producers to make the film here. Warner Bro's are all "we pretty much don't trust you guys anymore and are almost certainly leaving." Nobody understands why people who don't seem to have anything to do with the movie are appearing on TV and telling actors where to work or why the actors were listening (the actors are now complaining of misrepresentation by the union, but it's probably too late).
The Prime Minister is saying "please stay, guys. We'll give you tax incentives and stuff! We'll change the law!"

This is the latest on it, with related articles linked.
