Sounds like your crew landed the perfect job to suit the interests. Do you get to set up an explosive fatberg group or are those too well established as:
We know they can go wrong, we know they WILL go wrong.

Not joking btw, I fully expect that "Boris is a secret Remainer who ruined Brexit, we now need [Tory idiot of the moment] to step in and deliver REAL BREXIT."

I just don't know who the idiot of the moment will be.
The ever shrinking circle of pure brexiteers getting kicked out by the ever changing requirements of what a True Brexit means.

The red tape parade.
The Tories have given instruction not to use the B word any more because its quickly become a way to collect losses and a bunch of small losses in every area.

It's gone better than expected, it seems the deal kept a lid on all the worst outcomes, but rhe first year seems to have been a net cost rather than benefit

Even from the often debatable "controlled Borders and immigration" a record number of migrants made the crossing because the uk doesnt have anywhere to deport them back to

That's 2% of the population every ten days, what the fuck?
The good news on that is its unsustainable..

Fair point, everyone wants a villain and reason for the frustrations of the last couple of years but that wont accomplish anything, could never be proven definitively and unless it leads to better security measures in any virology labs working with gain function samples (which it probably wouldn't) it would just turn into a xenophobic racial mistrust that may not even have any real basis.

I dont like the Telegraph but what are the toughts on any substance on this?
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/01/11/scientists-believed-covid-leaked-wuhan-lab-feared-debate-could/

Playing it out in my head:
They suspected this was a lab-leak from China
Knew that China would never accept responsibility, or any kind of investigation
They could even react to an accusation of such with hostility and the last thing we want is a pandemic and a war at the same time

So... Fauci is apparently a bit concerned about the vaccine resistance of the new kids, South Africa in particular. It's gonna be a long, dangerous ride before we're out of the woods. Also we may at this point never really be completely out of the woods.

Very prescient on South Africa

Who'd have thought a pandemic with no precautionary measures taken might mean people being off sick?

Yeah, and we are all still work-from-home which means its just everywhere, seems like every second person has it

Nick Lim, VanWaTech CEO and Nazi Platform Host is going Mask Off on Twitter right now. Full Fascist, no Free Speech disguise. I'm assuming his Hosting Enterprise is going down for legal reasons and connections to Russia/DDoS-Guard, and he's having a mental break.

I have COVID and I'm still gonna have a beer to celebrate his current or subsequent failure  :lulz:

I'm grabbing snapshots of the posts in case he tries to delete and deny them later.

hope you get well soon.

Back in work today only to find half the business is out with the dreaded lurgy

So far so good!

Months 1-2 were hell. Baby was super cranky all the time. When we concluded it was acid reflux and put him on a different formula, we suddenly had a different baby! It was so crazy, really like night and day.

Month #3 has been great. At the beginning of the month, he slept through the night for the first time. Right now we probably average .8 wakeups per night. Some nights we get 2, but often we put him down at 7:30 PM and he sleeps til 6:30 AM.

He's ADORABLE. melts our heart every day. Right now he's at the age where he's just starting to learn how to vocalize intentionally, so he's always yelling at us. AIAIAIAIAIAIAIIIIIAAAAAAH! But not in a crying voice, more like he's just telling us his opinions.

I love being a dad. :)
Yeah we had Colic for the first few months around 8pm, would be a full hour of crying till she burped, that would be hell, but thankfully that was a short phase.

It is great fun, I would recommend later: we got a tiny table and chair for her to draw on and as soon as I finish work I'm dragged over to sit on the other dinky chair, that poor chair has a lot of ass to hold

Yeah, it's a whole lot of fun.

For me, the favorite age is 4-8.  They're old enough to ask questions, and young enough to want to ask the questions.

I'm looking forward to this, we are at the yes/no stage (everything is no)
