Discordian Recipes / Re: Looking fir salad recipes.

I'm so stoked, saw the images on google and decided to make this for lunch today - and we already had everything on hand.

But I'm not sure about the bread. We have thick sliced potato bread that's gone a bit stale. Do you think it will work all right? If not, I can run to the bakery.

You know I love you, Kai. Always have.

One word:  Panzanella.

OMG.......that looks so good! Thank you. I'm always looking for salads that don't include lettuce because lettuce makes me very very sick.

Here's one that makes a great meal all by itself.

Ingredients

Asparagus
fresh baby spinach
fresh or frozen peas
sliced almonds
freshly grated Parmesan cheese
cheese tortellini or mini cheese ravioli
fresh lemon juice
virgin olive oil

Preparation

Cook the pasta according to directions - I like it al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water until it cools.
Par boil the asparagus in barely simmering water for three minutes.  Drain and rinse with cold water.
Toss pea, almonds, spinach leave, pasta, and asparagus together in a large bowl.
Add olive oil and lemon juice to taste.
Grate cheese and add to the mix.
Salt and pepper if you like.

It's yummy.

Love your reports, LMNO!

HFLS says he apologizes for his absence from this thread and from PD in general, but he's been so busy dealing with the surprises that happened during the past 17 days that hasn't been able to cope with anything more than real life. He says "Fuckety fuckety fuckety fuck!  Thirteen more days to go. Shit!!"

My guess is he's never going to do this again.

I'm so impressed with your art, Remington. These are super cool. You make me want to get started on some projects of my own.

We had a version of these for dinner last night. HFLS added hot chili seeds (but not as hot as naga) to the mix and it was wonderful.

Augh, I hope I didn't give it to you.

Drink lots of water and puke as much as you can. That'll clear your stomach, I found.

I hate puking so much.  It's far better to lay perfectly still for hours, days, even weeks, rather than puke and get it over with.

Ahhh.  Whenever that happened to me I would start reading lines rhythmically, and eventually the words would stop making sense and I'd have this weird tune stuck in my head.

I am basically useless, you see. :x

Oh no! I read this post, then picked up the kindle and now I can't stop reading the lines rhythmically.
Waiting for the weird tune to start.

Still working my way through the works of Terry Pratchett. I'm currently reading Good Omens, which was co-written by Neil Gamen. It reads like a giant poem on my Kindle because the spacing came out kind of funky when it downloaded. But that only makes it more fun.

I don't think I'm up to the heat of these burgers, but love the idea of pressing black peppercorns into the burger before cooking.  Gonna try it real soon.

Cool, I'm not in Utah (anymore) but I have family in SL and they're always looking for somewhere to find good beer.

And I notice several of the beers on that list are brewed right here - like Anderson Valley and Red Tale Ale.

Tell the other jurors that your psychic said the defendant was not guilty and wait to see how long it takes them to tattle on you.
The courts do not hold with people who call people like me.

Bella,

Hasn't been picked for jury duty in over ten years.
