Bigotry is abound, apprently, within these boards.  There is a level of supposed tolerance I will have no part of.  Obviously, it seems to be well-embraced here.  I have finally found something more fucked up than what I'm used to.  Congrats. - Ruby

To be honest, I've been kind of blocked creatively for a while, made worse by this quarantine, as contrary as it sounds.

Thanks for recording that, altered.  It gave me much-needed inspiration.

I totally get that. My creativity took a holiday once isolation started. I think there is a part of me that thinks this is it, and what's the point? Also, despite my claims of "imagination", I am finding it increasingly difficult to imagine life outside of this.

I proudly refuse that humble apology.

I don't believe that's actually a thing, although sometimes right-wing morons bring it up as an example of how they're being oppressed.

if you're not aware about it you're a step behind the right-wing morons who at least know of it. I call the person who delivers my dark web drugs as a "carrier", rather than what I did when I was younger, a "mailman". that makes sense to me. on the other hand I'm not going to say "humankind" instead of "mankind" becasue that's not a word

I have a PDF here from NOVA Southeastern University, which advises me to refer to "the common man" as "the average person" or "ordinary people". this kind of thing to me seems technically legit, but I can't be arsed to retrain my language processing.. thing. there's plenty folks who think language has a big role on how we perceive reality, and on the articulation of our societies. a William Burroughs referred to "Language is a virus", and.. even disregarding this perspective, I think it foolish to poo poo the role language plays in a peoples. that said, I, personally, think trying to change what a word means is a most inefficient means of effecting change (for insistence, insisting "racism" means "institutional" or "systemic" racism).

it may not be a top-of-mind, hot button, guaranteed-validation-generating issue, but it's most certainly a thing, one that the right's mocking of doesn't make nonextant. and yes I am new here in that I can view things anew, without the accumulated toxin-baises of someone who has been loitering about the various stratum for some time now. none of this has anything to do with my comment.

Yeah, I'm detecting a lot beneath the surface here that I don't care for.

It's not like we haven't had some experience along these lines.

Exactamundo.

For whatever reason I don't do magic eyes "right," so they always end up inverted depth-wise. Which, fine for the first one but REALLY WEIRD for the second

It was like that for me too. I assumed it was Cram's fault; everything else is.

alright, I think we're finally getting to the root of it...

Has anyone made this one pop yet? Cause my eyes are getting tired.

*goes back to staring at the thing cross-eyed*

I can see *something* but cannot decide what it is. Knowing Cram and this forum it's likely goatse. Btw, I think this thread should be split, and I FUCKING LOVE IT.

QuoteBut maybe we should.

It's better than nothing?

Agreed.

I've been missing my group recently. But then, I've been missing a lot of people.

That is some high weirdness.

Definitely. I guess it's not a UFO since it sounds like it wasn't flying, but it's something.

I went outside, and somewhere in the distance is this unending ghostly fucking wail, changing pitch randomly, never pausing. Off in that direction is a horrible weird orange light, not like sodium lamps, more reddish.

The local lighthouse is off in that direction, and it's light is off. The orange light is far lower to the ground, closer, and brighter to the eye cause it's not reflecting off of the clouds and dust. It is not a fire: it is perfectly steady and has no yellow, looks more like inside of a hot gas forge. One the size of a house.

The whole thing has a UFO feeling, crossed with a demonic summoning.

I've been out here fifteen minutes and it has not so much as paused, and it's hitting the same five chords in random order.

The sound (but not the light) is moving around, and it just got closer, so I'm going inside.

To be clear, I made it inside and locked the door before sending this. At no point did I attempt to investigate it, beyond looking to see if that light was a fire. I did not approach. So, you know, if I don't post tomorrow it doesn't respect horror movie rules.

Jesus. Anything in the local news about it?

Cram, what's been going on with your Mr G group since lockdown? Any virtual meetings or anything?

So when exactly did we slip into horrormirth 24/7?

In Arizona, it will be April 30th.

It feels like I have been living smack dab in the middle of it for years.

I need to check exact dates, but we entered the strange times about 8 years ago and I've been preaching the dawn of the horrible times over the last 18ish months, so it would be around 1985ish.

I have horrid memory, but werent we all in PD having a huge meltdown? Like everyones life full of stress and everyone going at each others throat. I dont even remember if there was something in the social system or whatever system, just it happened to coincide for all of us on a personal level.

Until a couple of years ago, PD was ALWAYS a rumble.  Right from the very beginning.

No like, beyond that, there was a cyclical thing about "the February mood", but the 2012 one was particularly toxic

When was the Large Hadron Collider turned on? I blame that thing.
