News:

I just don't understand any kind of absolute egalitarianism philosophy. Whether it's branded as anarcho-capitalism or straight anarchism or sockfucking libertarianism, it always misses the same point.

Two vast and trunkless legs of stone / Re: Space dogs

Both of these things seem like the sort of thing that would only be issues depending on the range of our spaceships and possibly our intent for the planet. If we could reach a wide range of systems I can't see us ever having a legitimate reason to choose a planet with life over one an uninhabited one; that goes double if the goal is some kind of mining or resource extraction, because whereas I could see a possibility of the only planet in a system that supports life also being the only one that would be comfortable to settle down on, I can't see it being the only one with mineral wealth, so excuses would be limited for that purpose even if it was the only system we could reach.

They hate Gays.

Even the fucking Allied Powers hated gays. They bullied Alan Turing into killing himself, and not with lame insults either, by fucking drugging him.

Well, that certainly excuses Trump, doesn't it?

Be proud.

Hey, I'm not pro-Trump, I voted for Hillary, she's better than Trump no contest. Hell, even if it somehow turned out that she really did kill Vince Foster she'd still be better than Trump. I voted for her firm in the onowledge that even if against all odds all of these dubious conspiracy theories about her somehow turned out to be true even all of them together wouldn't make her a poorer choice than Donald Trump because Donald Trump is that poor of a choice. That doesn't make Trump a literal nazi or Hillary a good person.

QuoteDonald Trump is the president that America has earned.

More like the president that white America has earned.

If you think they will be immune to the clusterfuck you have far more confidence in Trump's abilities than I do

"Literally a nazi" is a very specific charge. That is the issue. If you said he was "nazi-like" or just "nazi" as hyperbole or metaphor that would be an accurate assessment, but literally a literal nazi is not. There's more to being a nazi than just being a white supremicist and a douchebag; they represent a very specific subset of white supremicist douchebags.

A conspiracy thriller, that's also an old school big dance number stage musical, and whose plot revolves around the conspiracy theory that Bush did 9/11. In one song and dance number a person dressed as an airplane tackles a high-kicking chorus girl dressed as 1 WTC.

EDIT:
Another idea:
A zombie apocalypse film wherein the "zombie apocalypse" is actually well contained and limited to a small area, but the news media makes it out to be a major wide-reaching catastrophe in order to boost ratings just like they always do with any new disease (remember SARS? remember swine flu and bird flu? remember that devastating worldwide ebola pandemic that happened last year in a small part of africa with no healthcare or sanitation?)

EDIT:
Another idea:
(Did I suggest this one already?) Tens of thousands of years in the  future Heaven has worn thin on the blessed dead. They have exhausted the realm of conventional pleasures and increasingly find themselves descending into Hell simply to experience something that they haven't done a thousand times before. Eventually they start importig hellish things into heaven. The realms eventually grow to be indistinguishable. I know Orphee Aux Enfers kind of touches on similar territory, but I'm thinking of heaven and hell's everyday denizens, and permanent. It should also have a Hellraiser/Warhammer type vibe to it if dome correctky.

EDIT:
In the off-season Santa Claus works for the CIA and/or British Military Intelligence using his skills with surveillance and breaking and entering to retrieve sensitive information and sabotage enemy installations.

I know Bush wasn't elected entirely on the up-and-up either, that's why I didn;t say "all" previous elections.

It needs to be kept in mind that Trump was not democratically elected. He lost the popular vote but won because of the electoral college. For this reason the protesters decrying this election are far more justified than the protesters against other previous elections where the winner was democratically elected.

More to the point has Trump said anything expansionist, especially any kind of stupid bullshit "well historically [insert foreign country or territory] already belongs to us" (although not limited to this). Most of what I've heard of him seems to be more isolationist.

M: No you didn't!

O: Yes I did!

M: You didn't!

O: I did!

M: You didn't!

O: I'm telling you, I did!

M: You did not!

O: Oh I'm sorry, is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour?

M: Ah! (taking out his wallet and paying) Just the five minutes.

O: Just the five minutes. Thank you.

O: Anyway, I did.

M: You most certainly did not!

O: Now let's get one thing quite clear: I most definitely told you!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh no you didn't!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: No you DIDN'T!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: No you DIDN'T!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: No you DIDN'T!

O: Oh yes I did!

M: Oh look, this isn't an argument!

(pause)

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

(pause)

M: It's just contradiction!

O: No it isn't!

M: It IS!

O: It is NOT!

M: You just contradicted me!

O: No I didn't!

M: You DID!

O: No no no!

M: You did just then!

O: Nonsense!

M: (exasperated) Oh, this is futile!!

(pause)

O: No it isn't!

M: Yes it is!

(pause)

M: I came here for a good argument!

O: AH, no you didn't, you came here for an argument!

M: An argument isn't just contradiction.

O: Well! it CAN be!

M: No it can't!

M: An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.

O: No it isn't!

M: Yes it is! 'tisn't just contradiction.

O: Look, if I *argue* with you, I must take up a contrary position!

M: Yes but it isn't just saying 'no it isn't'.

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

O: Yes it is!

M: No it ISN'T! Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says.

O: It is NOT!

M: It is!

O: Not at all!

M: It is!

Let me be more specific. I'm complaining about the fact that you mindlessly agree with each other on matters of opinion.

My God, if you would all only just realize the argument your presenting doesn't FIT into my false dichotomy. It's like you're not even Discordian.

:snob:

The funniest part: he came to a web forum called literal actual Principia Discordia dot com expecting that he could just spit up a half-assed opinion and alllllll the Discordians would just agree with him.

Maybe even herald him as a visionary.

The problem isn't that you don't agree with him, it's that you all seem to agree with each other, in an unquestioning yes-man-like fashion

If I filled a bathtub with piss and vomit and then filled up another bathtub woth moldy diarrhea, even though they would both be disgusting it would nevertheless be incorrect to claim that the two tubs both contained exactly the same thing

Is literally appointing an actual white nationalist propaganda disseminator to his cabinet not enough to maybe make that association?

Not really. There were crazy white supremacists long before Hitler.

Evil is not monolithic. Nor is even the more specific evil of racism monolithic. Being a charismatic racist white guy in a position of power doesn't necessarily make him literally Hitler any more than it makes him literally Jefferson Davis, or even for that matter literally Thomas Jefferson.

EDIT:
Given his ties to Russia I'd be inclined to compare him to the guys participating in or even inciting and leading the charges during the pogroms, although he isn't necessarily literally them either

Personally I think he reminds me more of Mussolini (furthermore, I suggest we try to start a trend of mockingly calling him "Il Douchebag" {instead of "il duce", get it})
